Hi,

My 18 year old step son in Manila finally got his interview date for Sept 29th for his US Immigrant VISA. I'm trying to find out what kind of questions they're going to ask him to prepare him but all I'm finding are K-1 or Spouse questions. Does anybody have a list of what kind of questions he should be prepared for? Anything else she should be prepared for?

Thanks,

Laz

We even requested for expediting due to the whole school matters. Hoping she was gonna be here before school starts.

Has the case completed at the NVC? If so, when?

Not sure if its been completed. How would you know that? We haven't been able to get a hold of NVC.

I had all communications set up via email so as soon as there was a status change or they requested something I would get it via email almost immediately. I did this as soon as my case got to the NVC, I think via the designated agent online form (I think).

Ok thanks. When did you initially filed the petition?

Early April 2015 when I submitted the I130 to USCIS. Sometime in late May it was approved and my cased was transferred to the NVC. Sometime in mid June I was able to start the paperwork (mostly online) with NVC.

Your petition really went so fast. My husband is a USC and he filed I-130 for my daughter petition. We filed it in January got approved in mid June. We sent the packet IV and paid $445 total in NVC July. Then finished DS-260 August 5, 2015. Considering we even asked for expediting. I don't understand why we haven't gotten an interview date.

Hang in there. I think the slow down was in your I130 not being approved promptly but it looks like the NVC is going along pretty smoothly. I didn't complete the DS260 until July 5-7 so I think your NVC case complete should be very soon.
