A 16-year-old Michigan girl was able to fake that she was pregnant to family and friends for ten months., and even tripled-down on the lie by saying she had triplets.

The unidentified teenager from Wyandotte, a suburb of Detroit, used a website called fakeababy.com to trick those around her into believing the ruse and reportedly giving her thousands of dollars in gifts.

Fake pregnancy bellies are available for $149 as well as a litany of other fake items including fake ultrasounds, which a Facebook user on a group for the mothers of triplets soon realized were not real.

When confronted, the teenager broke down and told detectives that she had lost her baby at six weeks, according to Fox2 Detroit.

I think some cases young women have been lead to believe that if they become pregnant the father will feel compelled to commit to them.

Unfortunately in many cases this is not true, especially when those involved are teenagers.

In other news, an old friend of my wife told us this weekend that she is engaged. She told us that he had already been married for a short time but divorced because they couldn't get pregnant. Silly me asked if she had required him to go get his gear checked out to make sure he wasn't the problem lest she suffer the same fate. Maybe it's better to just bury your head in the sand and hope for the best.

Probably. A guy I knew drank himself to death because he couldn't have children . His wife of 13 years dumped him because she was sick of travelling to different clinics around the country for fertility treatments etc. She conceived within 2 months with her new hubby. The guy remarried but by then had cancer of the pancreas. Everyone told him to adopt but he wouldn't . He was so obsessed with DNA, he had that of his dog preserved before it died so he could clone it. No idea where that DNA is now...

They do not feel indebted at all but the usual question I get is why we stopped at two cities and didn't bomb Tokyo. Most think it's because we only had two bombs.

I tell them I don't know because I wasn't born yet.
