Soloenta 2,218 Posted September 16, 2015 Filed: IR-1/CR-1 Visa Country: Egypt Timeline Author Posted September 16, 2015 Oh no, I had the same problem as You Solenta! It didn't paste! Hahaha Zats&Bryan, Thanks for the support. I have sent my husband money even when he was living in Kuwait, although I can really see the difference in...the system. The recipients are given based on the ID number and on each receipt the name is spelled different! Can you believe it? I used western union many times and he sent me money too, but they look at the number and the name is mest up I did collect the receipts before but then I realized his name was spelled different on all of them-minus or plus a letter. that would cause only more suspicion...shucks I agree with you, this journey will bring us closer with our spouses!! It will not be an ordinary story to tell Solenta They are pure evil and what BS about your sponsor, they signed a paper saying they are responsible and it's binding as far as I know so what should they care if it's a relative or not. Just a stupid excuse to make you suffer more and I think if your completely honest with they they will understand why you haven't visited your husband. But it seems to me you have your Visa you just need that sponsor to make it happen. I'll be praying this is the case. I sent in another co-sponsor quite soon after the AP, but still no word Why didn't your husband stay in the Middle East working he could have gone to his interview there with no problem. I e-mailed the Egyptian embassy about this and they said there would be no problem going through the process in another country. His Akama (Working Visa) was expiring at the time and I had already helped him pay twice before and could not help this time. His last job wasn't paying him and took his money! He could not pay for it and would become an illegal resident. Also, who knew this would take soooooooooooooooooooooo long. Also my husband did not feel comfortable doing the process in the middle east and wanted to go back home I pray to win the lotto because if I did I would send money to you and others that can't visit their spouse. It's not fair they hold things against we can do nothing about. Wouldn't that be lucky! Me too, I pray that others don't have to go through this. I don't even know if it is better now, is the backlog still like it was when I applied? If you write a letter to go along with all the money sending back and forth it will be self evident that they made mistakes. They know well that this is normal and I don't think it will make them suspicious at all. Anyone else agree? Ohhhhhhhhhhh almost forgot or maybe I didn't, the CO said our Skype logs didn't show enough written messages hahahaa really they think we would be typing instead of hearing our voices and seeing each other? Are they insane or just cruel? I say cruel if we would have had typed messages they would have said why didn't you voice, you just can't win with them. Yes I hear it's better but as usual it's different for everyone so who really knows. Has to be better than when we filed. Even Egypt that is backlogged with the Yemen filers is running 2 to 3 months for an interview but it used to be 9 months so it's a lot better God be with us all, those who pray and believe in God please pray for all of us and those that don't please sent your good thoughts. Thank you. Just a quick peek to see how everyone is doing in the long and frustrating journey! I am elated to share that after 25 months to get my IR-1 immigration visa, and a few months of ups and downs with job and health, I have a sale pending on my condo, health is good and I have booked my flight to be with my husband. Flying out on Sept 29/15 to be with him permanently! Best birthday present I could give myself!!! I wish you all happiness and joy, and the patience to get though this roller coaster they call immigration! Wooooooooooooooooo hooooooooooooooooooo happy news thank you so much sweetness for letting us know your great news. OMG I'm so happy for you and excited all in one, God bless you and I'll be praying for a safe flight home I just called NVC. It took me 15 mins for the call to get through and whenever it connected I started shaking!! Anyways, long story short, even though we dont have a date yet something really nice happened. I finally found a rep with a heart and humane!!! She was so nice and helpful!! Faith in reps at NVC call center restored!!! They do have human beings, understanding, caring, eager to help people at that place!! So I asked for a Sup, but this time to give a positive feedback. Now waiting for the Senator to inquire. Maybe by the end of the week! Wish us luck!!! How wonderful, yes they have a few good ones, happy you found one of them. I'll be praying all goes well and you have a happy ending very, very soon. ketahpahnen 6 Posted September 17, 2015 Filed: K-1 Visa Country: Egypt Timeline Posted September 17, 2015 Ok, my second I129f was filed in Februaury of 2014! DENIED, and I appealed. We won the appeal (petition was remanded to the original office for reconsideration) and our NOA2 is August 24 2015 ! My question is...I see the timeline stating cases with NOA1 dates of August 21, 2015 are being processed at this time. Is this processing before it is mailed to the NVC (which is where our petition supposedly is at this moment), at the USCIS level? Also, our petition was mailed to the NVC on August 24th, 2015. I have called to see if we have a CRO# yet and they keep telling me that they have not received it yet. Is this normal? And I apologize for any confusion. I know that it seems like I am only being impatient, but we have been struggling through this process for a long time... i LOVE my fiance and it hurts to watch him struggle through the depression for almost 2 years. Our first petition was returned and then our 2nd was denied...since winning our appeal he seems rejuvinated. His mood has become good again and he is beginning to have hope. It makes me feel good to see and I dont qant him to feel the depression again. So now...we are watching our new case like hawks Any answers anyone may have to my questions would be a great help. And THANK YOU ALL FOR THIS SITE! it has been such a great help to him and I. Soloenta and Natasha&Noor 2

I hate to say it but everything is normal for these people, I would call USCIS ask them if they have a tracking number for your package make sure the date they sent it is correct so if USCIS can't answer your question you can give NVC the correct information when you call them. I they can't help you all I can suggest is to speak to a supervisor. I have seen this many times and it's always worked out, but still important to call and maybe speed it up. They should put people they put on AP or denied at the front of the line not in the back. Praying this madness ends for you both soon with a very happy ending! teeak 224 Posted September 19, 2015 Filed: FB-2 Visa Country: Bangladesh Timeline Posted September 19, 2015 That sounds very promising! Hope you guys get the visa soon! My uncle was actually in AP for about 1.5 year before he was issued a visa. In his case, every time I inquired, they flat out told me they were doing a background investigation. He's very religious and looks it as well and has travelled to South Africa, Malaysia, etc. for religious conference/events so that's probably why they triggered the investigation and it took so long. Joanna&Karim 1 Posted September 20, 2015 Filed: IR-1/CR-1 Visa Country: Egypt Timeline Posted September 20, 2015 Hi everyone, I'm Joanna. My husband and I only married in July and we sent our I-130 packet in this month. I have decided to stay in Egypt with my husband while we wait because living in different countries as newlyweds seemed unbearable! We already waited a year to be together, we didn't want to be apart for another year. I'm worried about our I-130 because I'm concerned that we don't have enough information in it. In Egypt we are living in a house owned by his family, so we don't have any lease or purchase agreement together and we don't have any bills together. Also, because of the way banking works in Egypt, we don't have a bank account together. Has anyone else had a similar situation happen? I'm willing to live in Egypt for as long as we need to but I don't really love life here and I miss life in America so much! Soloenta 1

I'm willing to live in Egypt for as long as we need to but I don't really love life here and I miss life in America so much! Hello, well yes you can get a joint account you just need your marriage certificate and passport and i suggest you get your residency which takes only a few days to get and is of utmost importance. You unlike us here (USA) have the right to be with your spouse so they make it easy in Egypt to get your residence papers, which is a stamp in your Passport and which is proof right there. You can also have your husband father and mother write a letter stating that you are living in their home for free or if you pay rent then state that your both paying rent to them and have them give you a receipt every month. You will need the letter translated into English from the Embassy list of translators. Either way it's proof and take lot's of picture with every one family friends etc. So see it's not so bad and your all set to go, I pray you have an easy time of it I'm sure you will because living there makes all the difference. I had to come back to the USA due to my parents being ill and I have to take care of them. So don't worry take a deep breath and learn all you can from my first page when the time comes bookmark both Saylin and Dewheels page for easy access once you get to that point. Oh I know well it's not easy to live in Egypt for me it's the heat and if you have internet you can Skype with your family and friends daily. If you don't have internet that is one thing you can purchase together for more proof of a bona fide marriage. Welcome to the thread we are here if you need us. Soloenta 2,218 Posted September 21, 2015 Filed: IR-1/CR-1 Visa Country: Egypt Timeline Author Posted September 21, 2015 Thanks for the prayers girl!!! OK OK can't wait to spill it all...lol... This is how it went, a nicely dressed BD lady in a pink salwar kameez and heels came to his home. Told security she needed to go to 6th floor (his floor). She rang the doorbell, and Maa answered. The lady asked if this was my husband's father's home (by name), and Maa said yes. Then the lady saw my sister-in-law. The lady asked Maa “Do you have one son, and one daughter?” Then Maa says, "No, I have two sons, this is my daughter-in-law, the wife of my eldest son, who lives in London. My youngest son is here, and his wife lives in America." Then my husband was coming out of his room to see who was there visiting. Then when this lady (a complete stranger) saw him, she said "Are you so & so...?"(She said his full name- he has 4 names!) Then he said “Yes, I am.” (And he wondered how would this lady know his name???) Then she said “sir, can you spell your name in English?” (And he did, and thought omg, what is this...?!) Then she said, "I'm here with this book for you, if you are interested." (It was an oxford book, covered in plastic) and she gave him the book. He said, "No mam, thank you, but I don't need it," and gave it back to her. (He told me he didn’t sign up for any book, nor would anyone know his full name, and his father’s full name….except for embassy) Then she took the book back, by grabbing it in a different spot than him. (Fingerprint check maybe???) Then she said “Thank you” and left. Oh yeah, the whole time, she was holding her bag up, like maybe she was video recording. Isn’t this weird? How in the world would a supposed “book seller” know who he is by first look? And know his father’s name? And ask such personal questions? And NOT try to SELL the book? So weird….It had to be embassy undercover check! Nothing else makes sense. Oh, and he had 2 missed calls the day before this, and when he tried to call them back, they were blocked. Visit was 9/19, we received an update 9/17, and a response email from visa services from the white house, visa services chief, from when i had emailed them on 7/26. I hope this means they are working on our case. InshaAllah Holy cow sure sounds like a visit from the Embassy little sneaks wow God willing this is the proof they need that Noor is on the up and up and you get your Visa soon. WOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW so excited for you to. Hope it's this week
