arnold always drives a hummer since they came out...so, they both are chopf##ks

Hummmm, I wonder what Al Gore drives!

I just heard that Al Gore spent $30,000 on electricity alone last year. Hmmm what's his carbon footprint?

Source?

full story here, exerpt below

...and from that article...

Scoffed a former Gore adviser in response: "I think what you're seeing here is the last gasp of the global warming skeptics. They've completely lost the debate on the issue so now they're just attacking their most effective opponent."

Kalee Kreider, a spokesperson for the Gores, did not dispute the Center's figures, taken as they were from public records. But she pointed out that both Al and Tipper Gore work out of their home and she argued that "the bottom line is that every family has a different carbon footprint. And what Vice President Gore has asked is for families to calculate that footprint and take steps to reduce and offset it."

A carbon footprint is a calculation of the CO2 fossil fuel emissions each person is responsible for, either directly because of his or her transportation and energy consumption or indirectly because of the manufacture and eventual breakdown of products he or she uses. (You can calculate your own carbon footprint on the website http://www.carbonfootprint.com/)

But getting back to the original topic - a commitment by 5 governors to reduce their state's CO2 emissions - how does Al Gore have anything to do with it?

Holding a public figure accountable for actions while he preaches is not attacking. Pointing out raging hypocrisy is not attacking

And Gore has to do with this the same that Arnold driving a hummer....you brought that up, yeah? ;)

Where's the hypocracy, Lisa? Do you really believe that Gore doesn't practice what he preaches?

I'll give you a gold star and 20 bonus points if you can figure that one from what I've already said.

:star: <---there's some incentive.

Well, you've accused Gore of blatant hypocracy yet you know nothing about his personal life beyond his energy bill (as if that is an indictment of itself that the man blatantly goes against his principals) - and that, I find interestingly hypocritical of you. ;) Thanks for playing.

You mean that it's just as presumptious to think that Gore is NOT blatantly hypocritical? Mmmmkay.

ok, here we go.....first of all...the word you're looking for for me is 'judgemental' not 'hypocritical' because I have always been a firm believer of 'talk is cheap' and have been very consistent on the boards with that. So where you'd get calling me hypocritical is kinda strange, not to mention wrong.

Secondly, I'm basing my opinion on the fact that mr green jeans is spending 20x the normal leccy bill while lecturing ppl on cutting consupmtion. One doesn't need to know anything else about his personal life to see this as hypocritical. I don't need to know the Gores. But if you're saying 'oh how can you judge him you don't even know him' well then I ask you...how can YOU base your opinion of him when YOU DON'T KNOW HIM EITHER!

Which, funnily enough, makes YOU the hypocrite. :o

See how I did that there? ;)

kthxbye

Exactly! That's why the issue of Global Warming shouldn't be about a person named Al Gore. Amen, sister! I'm glad you see the light.
