Someone who called NVC back around Labor Day was told October scheduling was finished....but since then soooo many people here have been getting October interview dates. Generally the folks who answer the phones at NVC give all sort of misinformation, so take it with a grain of salt.

Co-sponsor and I got ours done and I mailed them yesterday by USPS to my husband. I wasted time scanning every page and sending them to my hubby for him to print, but then learned the consulate will ONLY accept the original which the sponsor actually signs. So off it went in the mail and I pray the package won't be lost in transit, as so often my mail is lost on it's way to him.

Its all depend on your embassy. Sure there are some embassies still doing October. Scheduling works like this. They keep scheduling until they either run out of cases to fill the slots they have. Or they run out of slots.

Hey guys, I called the nvc today to clarify about the letters that appear next to the documents in the interview letter. If the document has a letter meaning that "The NVC sent this form or document to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate" it means you do not need to take it with you as the embassy will have it at the interview. Hope this helps!

I called them on 603-334-0700 and was only on hold for about 3-4mins. The call duration lasted 7mins and most of that was asking to verify for security.

If in doubt just call them, better safe than sorry!!

All the best everyone, roll on 20th October!

I received my interview date (10/5) by calling the NVC last Tuesday evening (9/15) and again on Friday morning (9/18). So far, I have not received the P4 email appointment letter and my file still shows 'At NVC' on the CEAC website. Should I be worried?? OK, I am worried ... but do I have a reason to be worried?? Do I need to call the NVC again??

:clock:

I hear they are being slow like a week. But call them tell them u need letter now for medical. Think their email is broken. Why are we surprised they are so inconsistent.

Finally, finally, .... FINALLY!! After waiting for what seemed like an eternity, I awoke this morning to find the P4 email in my inbox! Everything is right with the world again! Ok, not right ... it would be right if my case showed 'In Transit' or 'Ready' instead of 'At NVC'! I'm hoping it will change soon. Our appointment is just 11 days away!!

To those of you still waiting or in process, good luck to you!! May your cases all be handled in the quickest possible way and may all your calls to the NVC have a short time on hold!

To those of you who have gone before us, mere words will never express my gratitude for sharing your knowledge of the process. You are the reason we were able to glide through the entire process without too much suffering! (L)

And finally, dwheels76 ... you are indeed an angel! I've read countless posts from you offering your advice and help to all in need. Your help, your spreadsheet, and your tireless dedication to help all of us on this journey are appreciated more than you will ever know!! (L)

Now that our journey to see the wizard is near the end I shall prepare to click my heels ... here's hoping our journey home is as quick and effortless as Dorothy's!

I have an interview scheduled for next Tuesday & as I was going through my documents I noticed that the AOS we originally sent in has been expired since 03/31/2015. When we sent the document in we were told we could still use the form but I'm reading online I need to take an updated affidavit of support to my interview? Just looking for a little guidance as I am now stressing, & am unsure as to if we need to redo the form or not. I apologize if this isn't where I'm supposed to ask this question

Any one please help... I have a confusion

In my interview letter for certain documents there is a status code with F. Which means nvc did not request you to submit this document.

Does it mean that I don't requirement document...

I am so confused as there are many Fs

Someone pleasehelp.

Hi Dont worry about it.

This means they dont need this document. Nothing else. turn away your face when you see F :-)

Can I schedule biometrics after interview or does this have to be before interview?

It has to be before interview. usually ppl will schedule one or two days before interview.
