Dragi - some countries will not send YOU a copy of the Police Report. They require it to be sent directly to the appropriate Consulate/Embassy. Japan is one of these countries and Hong Kong is another. Because there is a lot of country-specific info - we can't really say "send only a copy". That is one thing that is hard on this forum - a lot of advice really depends on country-specific info.

To make it even harder, for example, two Australian states (Queensland and New South Wales) state they will only send the Police Report directly to Sydney. The other Australian states and territories will send it directly to you.

Makes it really hard to give and get good advice, right?

Thanks Sukie for your insight and knowledge greatly appreciated. (I'm standing up clapping for you).:star:

Hello everyone. My name is Sean. I am new to this site but I have browsed it for many months so far. I just wanted to join and post to fyi you guys that my wife got her interview for october 2 at 6:15 and case complete was on Aug 15. We received the email on September 15. So it was about a 30 day turn around for the PI and quick time between receiving the email and getting interview.

We received telephone confirmation of our interview on 9/16 and again on 9/18 (you KNOW I had to call twice)! Our interview is scheduled for October 5th. So far, no email and the CEAC site still shows 'At NVC'. I keep checking hoping that I'll receive an email or the status will change, but so far ... nada! I can't wait for this process to be over!!

Case complete as of yesterday. According to the spreadsheet, South Africa schedules interviews on average between 40-50 days after CC. I might have the best Christmas ever!
