What's the average time from interview confirmed on telephone to getting an email confirmation / P4 package?

Any of the latest interviewee's from Canada/Montreal Consulate get the email confirmation or P4 Package yet????

Wondering how long it will take - and do we need the interview letter to take to the medical exam?

thanks!

I have a question..

My wife was not working last 2 years because she was making master degree.. But we have a good joint sponsor..

I have his 2014 taxes and updated i864

Will they ask me for updated i864 or recent taxes for my wife?

Thanks all

Called back to NVC this morning and rep said that our case file has not gone out yet and would likely ship out over the next two weeks(!) Now our interview date is October 7th. I'm just going to have my wife bring to the interview all of the documents that I mailed to the NVC just to be on the safe side.

That's the best thing to do. Have her take all your evidence of relationship too. When my husband went to our K1 interview, he assumed the consulate had that, but not one bit of our relationship evidence was delivered to the consulate. We were put in 60 days of "further administrative processing" and told to submit all of it in that time.

I just got off the phone from my usual Friday call to NVC. It's always the same....No appointment yet.

The rep told me, "People shouldn't call to ask if they have an appointment. We get calls all day asking that question! NVC notifies people as soon as they have an appointment scheduled."

I politely informed her that people call because it's very common for NVC to not send an email quickly, and people need to get their medicals scheduled ASAP, make travel plans, etcetera. I told her some people have waited as much as a month for the notice. She replied, "Ohhh okay. Yeah, I thought the emails were always like, right there."......Well now she knows something new.

Thanks for setting her straight. Some of the people who work at NVC has no clue how things actually work.

It kind of sad.

I get the impression no-one at NVC has a clue what's going on. I imagine it as a 3 ring Cirque du Freak.

So, my husband went back to the embassy with the items I mentioned yesterday and they took his phone number and kept his passport.. Is it a good sign they kept the passport?

The petitioner has to fill the I-864 even if there is no income. If the petitioner is a student with a no income then also you need to send I-864 for the petition and also I-864 for the joint sponsor. It's better to send W2's for the joint sponsor alongwith the tax transcripts or tax returns.

If the petitioner has no income. Then petitioner has to write a letter to NVC that there is no income because of student. Submit some kind of a proof that as a student like a report card. If you download I-864 instructions from USCIS website. Read line by line and you see this information somewhere. I do remember while reading. Normally we skip as we may not have patience to read each line as most of the lines are either known to us or irrelavent. But it's worth reading line be line of I-864 instructions as this is the one form that NVC sees in very detail. Believe me. They are very particular on the Financial strength of the petitioner and the joint sponsors.

I have a question..

My wife was not working last 2 years because she was making master degree.. But we have a good joint sponsor..

I have his 2014 taxes and updated i864

Will they ask me for updated i864 or recent taxes for my wife?

Thanks all

I can make a new i864 for her but there is no taxes for the past two years.

So no taxes papers.. Is that what you mean?

Take evidence of income. If not taxes, then anything else you do have. For example, since my kid's child support isn't income that can be proven on tax forms, I've made a copy of the child support court order, and copies of the child support checks I've received each month.

We received a CC on my aunt's case this morning (F4). Now, I don't know if I should be happy or crying. Her scan date was 08/28/15 and DS260 was submitted 08/26/15.

My uncle's case (also F4) on the other hand, has a scan date of 04/27/15 and DS-260 was submitted 07/08/15 and we're still waiting for the DS-260 to be reviewed...

Who would've thought it would've been better for me to wait a few months to submit the DS-260 in order to get a quick CC -_-

That's NVC for you...

I saw on the spreadsheet that some people who got case complete in May getting interviews in October for Jamaica. That not very comforting. The backlog is real it seems. Free up the appointments Jamaica.

I guess Jamaica is either a very busy embassy or they don't slot alot of Immigration Visa interviews. For the last yes Jamaica has been a 2 to 4 month wait. Sorry.

Hi dwheels,

I really need your advice.

I got my CC a few weeks ago (I'm applying together with my daughter), and I was a bit worried because I didn't hear anything about the interview even though the Rio de Janeiro embassy is not a very busy one. When I called yesterday, they said there was something missing in my case.

I eventually got to a person at NVC who informed me that from my part everything was ready, but my daughter's i-130 file was missing and without it they couldn't send our cases to interview.

I have always believed that the first thing the NVC does when it receives the documents from USCIS is to scan all documents and then assign it a case number... how come they don't have my daughter's I-130 yet?

Have you ever heard of this happening?

Thank you for your help!

They don't have her case at all? Did your daughters case and your case get approved same time? And you got a case# for your daughter correct?

When you talked to NVC did you just talk to operator on phone or a supervisor. If not demand to talk to a supervisor.

Yes they scan all our documents but the physical petition they have to have to send to the embassy or no interview.

Call and keep calling NVC to speak to a supervisor until they find the petition. It's there just separated from yours is all. Keep us posted. Sorry for the delay.
