It's $165 its the green card production fee. You can pay before you leave or when you get here. You can pay once you receive your Passport/Visa back.

When you're given an interview appointment, you'll get an email that will list anything you need to bring to the interview. So if anything is missing at this point, you'll be informed of it at that time.

Thank you for letting me know. :)

Your husband needs to first go to USCIS.gov and update your case. Then yes at interview tell CO you have a update to the DS-260. When you POE tell the CBP that's checking you in to verify your changed address. This will cover all your bases.

Thank you so much for the information!

You have to bring everything to the interview as you never know what they will ask. Moreover we don't know for sure what NVC sent to the embassy.

On my interview letter, I'm being requested to bring the "original" police certificates - they were generated online, but I guess they need to see another copy of it.

When in doubt, just bring everything you mailed to the NVC/USCIS.

Thanks for replying!

As Japanese police wouldn't issue police certificate easily, especially when you have been issued one before, I needed an email indicating that I need to bring another police certificate for an interview. And I haven't received the interview letter so I called NVC again and they told me I would not need another one as I have sent them the original.

I was relieved to hear that as we are having national holidays and the certificate might not made it in time for the interview.

Hi dwheels,

I really need your advice.

I got my CC a few weeks ago (I'm applying together with my daughter), and I was a bit worried because I didn't hear anything about the interview even though the Rio de Janeiro embassy is not a very busy one. When I called yesterday, they said there was something missing in my case.

I eventually got to a person at NVC who informed me that from my part everything was ready, but my daughter's i-130 file was missing and without it they couldn't send our cases to interview.

I have always believed that the first thing the NVC does when it receives the documents from USCIS is to scan all documents and then assign it a case number... how come they don't have my daughter's I-130 yet?

Have you ever heard of this happening?

Thank you for your help!

Well since you didn't submit anything I would have something handy. What does your embassy like to see? If you read your embassy reviews see what other s have done? You should be bringing updated chats, phone longs, pics evidence of trips during the process. This is a just in case.

DWeels please how do I check for lagos embassy interview reviews..thanks

I have a question. Do I have to bring the police certificate to the interview even though I've sent it to NVC?

You were supposed to send only a copy to the NVC and then bring the original to the interview.

In any case, your P4 letter should tell you if you need to bring it to the interview or not.
