dwheels, I'm having my interview next Monday, Sept 21st, finally! Just noticed this website.. Besides the documents listed on my P4 letter, the letter itself, the DS260 confirmation and a copy of everything else I mailed them (just in case), do I need to do any additional stuff online?

Do I have to create an account/appointment in one of those websites?!

Hi guys,

Just need an opinion. In my interview letter they didn't ask for proof of relationship and as far as I can remember my husband didn't include any proof of relationship except for our photos when he submitted the AOS. I was thinking whether I should collect all of our emails, chat messages and call history and bring this to the interview as our proof of relationship or not. Please give me opinion to those who have more experience. All of ur suggestions and help are much appreciated. Xx

So I called NVC yesterday like I said. Turns out there has been a misundetstanding. When the previous rep said our package has been shipped out on Sep 14, what she really meant was the P4 packet. Our paperwork is still at NVC and should be shipped out "any day now". I guess that's consistent since we did get the P4 email on the 14th.

Just done with my medical. The doc said he'll send the results to the consulate directly. Praying that everything turns out okay!

I have been hearing that there is a $160 visa fee that can be paid on-line...At what point does this get paid and how? Is there a link somewhere to pay this fee?

You know what the problem is they take care of other countries cases such as my country (Iran) and specially syria :(

Thats why it takes long time .

President obama said they are going to accept 10000 refugees from syria !!!! most of them are in Turkey now ... that's why

Embassy is very crowded :(

True, Ankara does process some cases out of country, but thankfully they don't handle refugee visas. Those are done by the UNHCR.

The U.S. Embassy in Ankara is not a designated post for refugee case processing. In Turkey, The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) has responsibility for assistance to, and protection of, refugees.

Hi guys,

So it's not good news. They are requesting more proof. I am confused and not sure how to proceed.

My mom is our joint sponsor and she is on ssdi so she was not required to file taxes in 2014. In our AOS we included a signed statement stating that..my husband is saying they are requesting her 2014 taxes and also telling him she did not make enough in 2014 to sponsor him...which is true..but we showed bank statements and a copy of the benefit letter from the social security administration showing she will make more than enough this year..I am not sure what more proof they need or want.. I thought that even if you did not make enough the previous year..if you could show the current years income was sufficient that was enough..any advice on what to do now?
