Finally received a reply for the expedite request. It said there's no need to expedite as we already have an interview and instructions.

So that makes me feel better that they won't pull the file. Husband has his medical tomorrow.

Why were you concerned that they would pull your file?

Petitioner's birth certificate isn't needed at the interview. Don't waste money mailing it. Scan and email it to the beneficiary just in case.

I would think if the interview letter specifically requests it, then you better bring it.

Now just because it is listed on the letter doesn't mean they requested it, it has to have the letter code that means they want it.

On mine it has the letter code F which means they did not request it.

Why were you concerned that they would pull your file?

Because that's what the rep told me lol. I maybe shouldn't rely on reps too much but she said they pull your file to review it, so it could actually delay you if you were about to get an interview.

Someone here told me we don't need to call NVC, or wait for an email to know when we'll have an interview scheduled, because that's what the spreadsheet is for. She said she watches the spreadsheet daily for her interview date to appear.

I don't know how many people don't understand what the spreadsheet is about. Dwheels is not an NVC rep and she has no inner connections there. The NVC does not notify her of VJ member's interview appointments. She only adds a VJ member's interview date to the spreadsheet when that VJ member informs her of their date.

Looks like the US Embassy in Jamaica is crying foul. They are now like the NVC, crying about backlog. I remember checking one of those NVC reps as they were still using the backlog at NVC story after the backlog had dwindled.

Looks like the longest part of this process will be waiting for the interview in Jamaica. That Embassy seems to be ever busy.

Oh man i forgot to ask in my last post..

My Ceac portal still says AT NVC .. Is that normal ?

I already have the Interview emai.

How long does it take for them to send the Docs to the Embassy and can i get a Medical sorted out before the Embassy even gets the paper work ?

Thank you guys.
