So, the only medical date available for us is three days before my husband's interview. Will this be a problem, so close to the interview?

Also, I'm wondering how important it is to "overprepare" and bring all documents to the interview, even ones the NVC are supposed to send with your file. It would be a pain to get my joint sponsor's I864 and tax info all over again, plus the only certified translation I had of my husband's birth certificate I sent to the NVC, etc.....

better safe than sorry?

Not seeing any interviews being scheduled yet. Is everyone calling to find out for yourselves or waiting for the email to come?

Called this morning and the rep said that they are waiting to hear back from the consulate in Naples on scheduling the interview.

Yes, it is advised that you bring all original and certified copies of all documents such as birth certificates, police certificates, marriage certificate... plus a photo copy is required as well.

In terms of the medical date, we don't have a choice because our consulate schedules the medical exam the day before the interview.

I'm working on this part. All our originals are american except his birth certificate and court records. So I've got to put together everything and mail it to him.

Pharaoh, why don't you use this downtime to :time: ? Ya know, help others get a sense of how long the process is taking in Egypt/has taken you from the day you submitted your application to USCIS. http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=216730

It's more productive than complaining on this forum about something none of us has the power to change. At least filling in your timeline will let future applicants know what to expect.
