QUESTION: on hubby's P4 letter, at the end it shows documents required for interview with letters that represent that status.

It reports Petitioner's marraige certificate, birth certificate and marraige termination all with the status of F. F shows as "NVC did not request this document".

Does that mean I need to send my originals for hubby to take to the interview or it means they do not need those at all?

Looks like most VJ members are out enjoying the weekend. I've not reached the point of receiving the P4 letter yet (I wish!), but you made me curious. I just looked this up.

Page 4 shows what each of the letters mean.....

You need to bring your original marriage documents, original petitioner birth certificate, original police certificate. Any document you sent to the nvc as a copy, bring the original to the interview.

don't worry about the error, but be sure to correct it during interview. Explain it to the CO. They will change it as long as other documents show the correct spelling...

how can i correct it in interview...can you give me some tips how to do it

I think in most embassies/consulates the process is the same as ours was: after you clear security, you wait in a waiting room until you are called to a window. At this window, the clerk walks through your documents - especially if you have had to bring some with you. At this time, you should call attention to the fact that there is a slight spelling difference. This is not unusual in places where English is not the primary language. Just say to the clerk, "Pardon me, but I did notice a slight spelling difference (don't call it an error!) in my mother's name. Is this the correct time and place to make sure it's right?"

That should be sufficient - and I don't think you should have any problems. You might wish to bring some type of document (birth certificate, or other legal document) that proves the spelling of your mother's name.

Best of luck!!!
