Marti, can you please share how you filed a complaint with the Inspector General against the US Embassy, much appreciate it

Absolutely! Sorry I am so late in responding..it was a busy busy day at work. ( I am not sure if the links will work..so I will be specific so you can find the links if they do not work in this post)

I wasn't sure where to begin.. So I googled "how to file a formal complaint against US embassy" and I found this link: http://usa-faq.civicagency.org/answers/9702

I then sent an email detailing my experience ( I was very polite but also took great care in explaining the situation and how much it upset me) to OIGHotline@state.gov

I emailed them around 10am Wednesday morning. I had my first response from them by 2:45pm

Hope this helps!

Thank you all for the congratulations and well wishes.. You're an amazing group of people.

Dwheels - a special thank you .. Thank you for all that you do.. You're an extraordinary person..so helpful..so kind..and it's much appreciated.. what you do is amazing.. almost like a form of charity.. I think you are very blessed and have a big beautiful heart.

Well it looks like since Nigeria just started about 2 hrs ago they are now in West Africa. So if not today still 6 hours of work at NVC then monday. So either call or look at your inbox.

Just got off the phone with a really rude rep who reminded me that the NVC is not the embassy and so they don't do scheduling..OOOK .. I'm in a nice mood today so I let that slide and just asked a couple more questions. I'm of the idea that some reps have very little respect for certain applicants from certain countries.. Hmmm .. But No nothing for Ghana yet. Hoping for the best.

I just think they must get tired of answering the same questions over and over and some of them come across as rude. I worked at AT&T for years, and one billing cycle they added a new "fee"....well EVERY single call for weeks was about the same thing. I could've recited my answer in my sleep. I've had really nice reps and some that sounded a little "overworked". From what I understand, they have about as much control over the embassy scheduling as we do. Just keeping my fingers crossed that I'll at least KNOW something soon. At this point I dont even care if they tell me the interview is 10 months from now....Just give us a date already!!! lol.
