Does anyone know how long does it take to get the email from nvc about you interview

I've heard that at the best, it's at least 3 days after they schedule, but it's common to not get the email for a week or more. I know someone who didn't get the email for a month!

I'm not willing to wait for the email, because I've heard of some people not being able to have their medical appointment in time for their interviews. I plan on calling NVC every other day, because I want my husband to get his medical appointment lined up as quickly as possible.

Guys, guess what!?! After 3 weeks of waiting we finally were rescheduled. The new interview is scheduled for September 17th !!

I feel like I fought so hard for this. Since my husband was turned away on August 20th I have not stopped emailing and calling trying to get this matter resolved. Twice a week I was emailing the senators and the congressman that had agreed to look into our case.. Tuesday night I emailed President Obama ( I knew it was a long shot..but I am stubborn and do not give up easily).. and then Wednesday I filed a formal complaint (my emails and phone calls were being completely ignored by the embassy) with the Office of the Inspector General against the US embassy in Tunisia..who replied they were going to forward my complaint to the Bureau of Consular Affairs (CA), Executive Office...for what they called "action".. This morning I checking my email..disappointment..nothing..but then I checked my husband's email and someone from the embassy had finally emailed him with our new appointment date and time..such relief! I am not sure what finally got the ball rolling but thank God it's rolling!

The odd thing is.. My husbands email is not listed in any of our paperwork to the USCIS or NVC..I've just been including it in my emails to the Senators, Congressman, and then the Office of the Inspector General .. so they could contact him directly if needed.. So, I am pretty sure it was all of the "noise" that I made that finally got results..I hope it does not make them grumpy when they interview my husband...

Draga call NVC and request a expedite. This is a hardship on you the petitioner. They will tell you what to send in. Letter from doctor.

Or at least call NVC to see if they started yet.

We have CC and are waiting on an interview from Croatia. The husband is dragi who posted earlier about what the NVC told them.

I can try to call while my littles sleep. They are open until 11 right?

But what should I say?

"Hello, I'm the petitioner and I'm at the hospital at the moment with my children because my husband is in his home country waiting for an appointment.

Note that you'll need a doctor to submit a letter stating that your situation is serious and you need your husband. You need strong evidence to back a request for expedite.

Yeah I'd read on it some. I didn't think we really qualify, it isn't life threatening. Like it's not cancer or a transplant.

It's a hardship, that's for sure, very much a hardship. And we'd be way better off if my husband was here to help.

They really should broaden their criteria for expediting a case. A situation like yours should be an accepted reason for speeding things along. .

Happy news, interview has been rescheduled for Oct 1st.

Just got off the phone with the NVC, they said today they scheduled my interview for October 15th.

Weirdly, I want to call the embassy and see if they can give me a later date towards the end of October as I'm going to the states next week and am scheduled to come back towards the end of Oct anyway. Hopefully they can help me out with that! Either way, great news and it only took them 2 weeks from CC to schedule the interview.

To those of you who got their interviews today over the phone, did you guys see the status change on the CEAC website right away or did you just call because of all the recent scheduled interviews from this thread? Wondering if I should keep checking the site first or just call the NVC.

Just call NVC, the website status doesn't change quickly. We all called because other people reported they got their interview dates over the phone.

Got interview scheduled today for Oct. 6th and received P4 Letter via email today. I was shock at how fast NVC is working now.
