Not many people from Croatia here but here goes anyway.

So I just got off the phone with the NVC. The rep was very nice and helpful but I forgot the name (I think Cathy or somesuch). She said they haven't even started scheduling October for Croatia, and that they generally start scheduling middle and towards the end of the month. Apparently Croatia didn't even send the open slots yet. She didn't know when does Croatia usually send this but she said it should also be the second half of the month. Once they have the slots, the interviews will be scheduled in the order of CC.

After that talk I felt there's hope yet, but now that I read about all the inconsistent info people are getting I don't know who to trust... :(

And yeah my kid is in the hospital right now, my wife is in great pain and barely hanging on, and I'm here doing nothing but going grey and losing sleep.

I wonder if any of this can qualify for a medical expedite.

Also, I found myself actually starting to like the cheesy NVC call waiting tune. Am I losing my mind?? :dead:

It's probably totally normal for all of us. I even recorded the song while I was on hold so that my husband could understand why it would get stuck in my head.

Just got off the phone with NVC, thought I'd share what I learned. Our CC is August 11th, we're still waiting for our interview date at Jerusalem Consulate.

I spoke with Penelope, she's SOOOO nice by the way, very helpful and understanding. She said that NVC is almost done scheduling October interviews, and that's for all embassies and consulates, not specific to Jerusalem. She said while there is still a small chance that we could be informed we have an interview in October, if we haven't heard by now, chances are slim. She also told me that they will start scheduling November interviews in the last week of September. Not sure if that is of help to any of you out there, or necessarily applicable to everyone's situation, but I thought I'd share.

I did explain to her my situation though (pregnant, and anxiously looking at the calendar wondering how long this process will take and when my husband and I can travel to the US, there being an obvious deadline in our case). She said that I should request an expedite and seemed positive that pregnancy qualifies as a medical reason. I also thought that expedites needed to be life or death situations, but she gave me some hope so we'll go for it.

Good luck to everyone waiting for their interview!

Although nice rep no way are they done announcing. Let me tell you the NVC speak. They may be done scheduling, that doesn't mean they are done notifying. They were probably done scheduling end of August. Embassies normally send 2 month to 3 months of slots. So they fill up but of course only the upcoming next month is told.

One thing I have learned with NVC, USCIS and embassy you have to speak their language. Although most that answer phone are clueless. I would guess we will be hearing until end of next week October since they just started announcing yesterday. And some embassies still have yet to be announce. Mexico, Jamaica, Kenya so far for sure

Today I heard US embassies in Egypt and Algeria have been doing CR1 interviews for YEMENI applicants this month. It just seems to me that applicants who are citizens of Egypt and Algeria, who are waiting for interviews, should have their appointments first.

This is very weird and boring.. I ve been w8ing since 22 june and I really fed up
