I was able to file as single, because my husband doesn't live with me, and he's a non-US citizen living outside the USA

True you can file single but you aren't suppose to if you are married. And there have been some embassies who have give the beneficiary a hard time even made a few amend their taxes before they would get a Visa. If you are married you are married. You can all file Married filing separate. It means just what it says you are married and you are separate. The question on the taxes even ask if you live together or not. We qualify.

If you file single just be able to explain to CO at interview and amend your taxes so as spouse gets here you might even get some money.

Thanks the thing is we should wait and live our life or we could break our nervous system, even though my wife is pregnant and i need to be with her and she needs me very much.

About Yemeni citizens and Sudanese with my respect to all, the American embassy in Cairo should put the Egyptians as a priority.

Amd lastly i'm wondering if we should do anything we are just waiting.

I tried emailing the embassy but they gave me nothing more than what we r hearing from the nvc.

Should we create group here on vj or on what'sapp for Egyptians waiting interview scheduling?

I second that, Egyptian citizens should have at least 80% priority of the embassy's capacity, but again we have to respect and consider the US government point of view, certainly there are other aspects we're not aware of and it is up to them to do what they wish (Its their country after all) all we have are self-built hypothesis and reasoning.

You're right with going on with our lives and that's what we are trying to do. Though we didn't get married to go through further separation.

Congratulations in advance near future daddy =)

Any solution that could bring 0.01% extra hope I will join immediately. I think VJ is the place where all of us are waiting and communicating.

I know every Egyptian with May CC ever listed on VJ =) and I pray for all of us everyday.

I don't think the Egyptian government would do anything to assist, I don't even know if there is a place to file such a petition.

However, all US petitioners for Egyptians beneficiaries should communicate and reach their government. I believe all of them already talked and reached to their congressmen and senators individually, perhaps if they did it as a group it would make a better effect.

Dear co-VJ member Chaneydic1333,

Our intention was never to freak anybody out, but only to get some clarification, simply because we were told at the same VJ site, that there may be a possibility that consulates may ask as to why was the tax filed as 'single' and not 'MFS' - thereby questioning the authenticity of the relationship.

It is not us, but simply the tax rules and laws, that are so confusing, it can make the most honest person seem dishonest in the eyes of NVC or IRS.

It seemed to us that it is better so be safe than sorry and just wanted everyone's opinion.

Wishing the best for everyone out here.

Yours was just a simple tax question, and not at all alarming. I don't see how your question could possibly freak anyone out at all. Don't worry about one peculiar response.

Can somebody please link me the current k3 at nvc thread and/or What to expect when a case number has been assigned? Would they assign case number and IIN if they were planning on closing i129f?

No because once you started processing the I-130 through NVC you killed your I-129F yourself. This is where you have to decide. If you wanted the I-129F to live and go K3 route you don;t do anything with I-130 processing. Now you started it so you made the choice for them.

Don't know what they are doing in the embassy in nigeria......nvc should quit this delay and start scheduling sick of checking emails ....

That's probably what they did for Pakistan last month and the embassy cancelled all their interviews. Just hang on. If nit today or tomorrow next month. And it will start with 6/10CC folk. A long long list for Lagos.

My wife and kids CC complete in July 7 and the U.S. Embassy in HCMC, Viet Nam, has accepted my expedition request on Sept. 2. On Sept. 3 they received the E-files from NVC.

I asked for the status and was informed that it takes 4 - 6 weeks for information updated and 3 - 4 months for my wife and kids' interview scheduled.

There is anyone with my situation? I want to know how long my wife & kids have the interview date? Anyone here in Ho Chi Minh Viet Nam? This feeling is killing me!

Please be praying for us all!

What's the point of having your case expedited when you have to wait 3-4 months for an interview? I think it should be faster. My expedite request was approved on Sept 9 for HCMC too.

Amazing as I try and clean up and update the spreadsheet the same countries over and over just have been ignored since May and June.

Jordan, Algeria, Sudan Egypt, Ethiopia Armenia, Algeria

Cambodia Vietnam, India, Ghana, Nigeria, Mexico

Since July it has been a little here and there. Trying to make sure he folks on list have accounts still or I am deleting. Many on list aren't around or probably changed their name. So alot of deletions

But notice the first group. Like WOW. I have herd that the refuge crisis has forced cases around and Algeria is now taking on cases fro a closed Yemen, Sudan.

And Jordan and Egypt have been taking on these cases from Yemen and Sudan but now cases are being transferred.

dwheels76, I assure you all accounts from Jordan are accurate and current, Jordan has not scheduled any CR1 appointments since late March - 168 days since cc is the oldest record, very sad but it is true.

Jordan Embassy has broken all records, and no one seems to care

Not sure what is going on with them :ranting: . The "Scheduled Appointments" list currently on the embassy website (DR) is for the month of July and includes the dates for August appointments. They have not updated this to show the September appointments that were scheduled in August.

all the cases from jordan are still active users sadly and jordan takes in Libya and Syria not Yemen or Sudan .
