I've been wondering about if I should try to expedite, but I didn't think there was a point asking once you receive CC. I've developed some health issues since we started all this and it is only getting more difficult to take care of the kids on my own.

I'm also wondering, about the new i-864, does it have to be an original taken to the interview or can it be a copy that I sent to my husband electronically?

Correspondence takes forever to go between our countries for some reason. I send something express international and it still takes a month. So I'm worried it would not get there and also be extremely expensive to try and get there.

I am the petitioner, he still lives overseas

found each other August 2009
started courting December 2010
first held hands February 2011
engaged June 2013
married May 2014
began process January 2015

Most recent update: Interviewed on 05-OCT 2015. Approved and visa in hand!!!

Hi draga,

It doesn't hurt to try. I don't think you'll lose anything if they say no to your expedite request.

About the i-864, I am quite sure it needs to the be original...

Do we need to take a copy of the I-864 to the Interview ?

I did not make a copy of it and not the damn forms have changed..

Upon close observation it's the same ol form in a new format and 3 extra pages for interpreters and additional information.

obviously i wil have take the new one right..

I cannot find the older version anywhere anymore unless someone here has one downloaded and can send me a pdf )

I sent you a message to a link with the old I-864. Fill out the form and match what you sent to the NVC. It's highly recommended that you fill out the new I-864 as well and bring both the original and a copy of it with you to your interview.

Our case was complete at the beginning of August. I was hoping to at least know an interview date by now, but looking at the CC to Interviews Spreadsheet, it looks like they've not even scheduled the July CC people. Its been over a month and no movement for even the July ones. Is this normal? I feel like Nigeria is at a standstill as far as scheduling interviews.

@ IkeNme, they haven't even finished with first half of June CC,waiting is an understatement..im right behind sunshine721..her CC is June 16, while im CC June 17th,its like they are giving 5 interviews at a time per month...tired of calling them and checking my emails...called last week friday,no interview yet..i woner why they cant use both lagos and Abuja embassy,i just feel this is torture for common interview,ridiculous..they said theres no estimated wait time,i just have to keep waiting,i guess till i turn to methuselah..smh!!..just keeping fingers crossed,God take control Unfortunately,u just have to wait patiently!!

Very frustrating. My case complete is July 29 for Nigeria and no interview yet. I called today and same thing just wait. I was really so excited when i updated my case from F2A to CR1 because i thought at most 2 weeks i will have an interview date but one thing i have learnt from this whole process is everything is a waiting game. Its tough 2 take. I just gave up. Will just wait whenever it comes. Best of luck

Here is an article that I hope will encourage us during this waiting period. I personally can use this advice. We can make goals all of our life, but ultimately God's plan supersedes our plans.

That was the reason why I applied for the k3 as well.. they have no excuse to closing our i129f's if the i130 takes this long still...oh well, maybe I'll put that as the reason i want my case expedited lol
