CC 8/19

I just talked to the NVC (again) and the rep told be that even though they are scheduling October interviews, I shouldn't expect to get one of those times as my case was JUST completed in August. It would probably be NOVEMBER or LATER!

It's difficult to hope that this will even happen. I feel like Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz ... such a journey up to this point ... I can see the end ... but I just can't get there.

Lucky for me I live with my spouse and have been for the last 17 years. Bad for me ... it's in Taiwan!! This place is really starting to wear me down. It's time to go home (to Florida)! We are both excited about the coming move and just want to get going.

My fingers are crossed and hope the rep was incorrect! I'm hoping for a quick interview for us and for all who have endured this process up to this point! Good luck!!

That's terrible!

I guess I'll just bring a stack of papers then. All that work for nothing. I actually made books with our pictures but I guess it's no use taking those anymore. Oh well=/

Thanks!

Since late March, you mean.

Late March!!! Hopefully they will start scheduling soon!!

I wonder what happened to people getting an interview approximately 30 days after CC. Now if a case is complete in mid-August, don't expect an appointment until at least November? This is becoming ridiculous! Even if you were to be given an appointment November 1st, that's a 74 days wait! I hope the rep didn't know what he or she was talking about. Something I've definitely learned is that NVC reps give unreliable information. You can talk to two different reps in the same day and get conflicting information.

Yep, also keep in mind that different consulates/embassies can have wildly different workloads when it comes to scheduling applicants for available spots, and the number of applicants waiting in line. That is why consulates/embassies in Cairo or Mumbai may take longer to schedule interviews than say those in Reykjavik or Stockholm.

102 days from CC till ... till nothing.

Once again Cairo embassy broke its own waiting time record.

Gatu: 114 days+ (record holder)

Izabela-nv: 111 days+

JISSA08111: 106 days+

PHARAOH7: 104 days+
