So, the only medical date available for us is three days before my husband's interview. Will this be a problem, so close to the interview?

Also, I'm wondering how important it is to "overprepare" and bring all documents to the interview, even ones the NVC are supposed to send with your file. It would be a pain to get my joint sponsor's I864 and tax info all over again, plus the only certified translation I had of my husband's birth certificate I sent to the NVC, etc.....

better safe than sorry?

You would have to check with that medical facility . Every place is different.

what about the new form of I-864 we need the new one ( 12 pages ) or the old virgin(9 pages) at the interview ??

This is what I copied from the website.... .http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/immigrant-process/documents/support/i-864-frequently-asked-questions.html Notice: New Form I-864

You submitted your application in August 2014, so you would most likely need the new version. I didn't even know about this new version until you posted. We submitted our application in September 2014, so I'm in the process of filling out the new version right now! I'm only on page 1, ugh! Since we have a co-sponsor, I get to do TWO of these, yippee! :(

Wow, I had a lot to catch up on. I took a break for one day and there were 11 pages already.

As of Tuesday our case has updated to "ready" but still no word from the embassy as to when the appointment has been rescheduled for.. So I emailed them tonight. I hope they will actually respond to this email..and inshallah the date will be soon.

Today is our 2 year anniversary..kind of bittersweet.

Sending you all lots of positive thoughts and well wishes.. Thanks for helping to keep me sane during the process

Dweels76, any idea what we are looking at for Mumbai Consulate? I read that it takes 15 days to a month, but there are people with July CC who are still waiting for interviews. Any idea what that is about?

Lets just say what they do for October scheduling. See if lot of slots will open up. It's hard to say how long when I have people siting here for 2 months. Sorry.

Guys what u are hearing for India is not true.... Well I will say nwd specific

I was on hold with nvc for 30 min coz our case status at ceac shows yet at nvc .. So the lady told me that they are yet to ship sept for newdelhi which will happen by weekend and have not started scheduling for Oct

Good luck guys

So that means what? "They have yet to ship September" Means just that they haven;t sent it back to the embassy. Sure doesn't mean they are still scheduled for September. It's September you really believe they are still scheduling for the month.

Trust me I would love to e proved wrong and say wow NVC told the truth (Haha):goofy:

The petitioner files the I-864 regardless of income and your co-sponsors will file the I-864 as well. I-864A is for anyone combining their incomes with yours..(immediate relatives who lives with you.) if you so choose, in place of them being joint sponsors.

Thank you!

The way I read it, I think Bunny was talking about two separate issues.

1) NVC is yet to send his file to Delhi (said at NVC on ceac) and will ship the file by the weekend.

2) New Delhi has not even started scheduling October CR1 interviews.. to counter rumors that there are no October slots remaining.

Wait you have two joint sponsors do they live together? Do neither make the guidelines on their own.

Household embers use the I-864A

You fill out a I-864 and your Joint sponsor fills one out also. And of course both of you submitting all your financial documents.

No, my original joint sponsor didn't make enough on his own but NVC told me not to send anything else in because it would cause a delay in my interview scheduling and to just bring another affidavit to the interview itself. So I now have a joint sponsor who makes enough but I included the original joint sponsor just in case they asked about him.

No, they don't live in the same household, they don't even know each other.
