I have an interview scheduled for next Tuesday & as I was going through my documents I noticed that the AOS we originally sent in has been expired since 03/31/2015. When we sent the document in we were told we could still use the form but I'm reading online I need to take an updated affidavit of support to my interview? Just looking for a little guidance as I am now stressing, & am unsure as to if we need to redo the form or not. I apologize if this isn't where I'm supposed to ask this question

Thats not the expiry date. You are fine. That's the records maintenance keeping date (I think that's what Ryan calls it). But you are fine. If you go to the uscis.gov and see I-864 you will see the forms they still take.

I received P4 letter yesterday! When I saw the status yesterday's morning, it was at NVC but today, it's READY!

I sent the embassy an email to request an earlier interview date. My daughter is waiting in the states with my husband. I'd love to go back there as fast as I can. Wish me luck!

For Japan. I am sure they will move it up. Run don't walk to get your medical soon as you can they could tell you to come in next day. I have sen that happen. Congratulations. Almost done.

Hi everyone,

What happen if the sponsor (spouse) got a new job and will start 2 weeks before interview? In this case do we need to update our I-864ez form to bring to interview? NVC has asked me to bring original I-864ez form to interview since NVC treated our I-864ez as a scanned one (husband signed it with black ink). Update the job to a new one or not?

Yes you will need a new I-864ez and update and an employment letter since you probably won;t have a paystub to show and since it would be the first one you need to show what the salary will be.

Sorry just a bit confused, if the petitioner is divorced does the applicant need to bring the original divorce decree of the petitioner?

When I called NVC initially I was told it applies to the applicant and the applicant's original divorce decree is supposed to be brought to the interview. But didn't say anything about the petitioner's original divorce decree when I asked.

Honestly it is a case by case basis. I have seen CO's ask for the petitioners original birth certificate. I have always advised whatever document you sent a copy of have the original or certified copy at interview. Just in case.

I will follow your input and already told my husband to send me updated 864ez as soon as he gets the offer letter. I've read on one thread that you should inform any change happens between your CC and interview date so I will just go with that.

If this was my situation, since it's only 2 weeks before interview, unless the new job has a tidy income increase that would help my case, I wouldn't complicate things by informing them.

Amen thats what I am saying. You might get a CO that looks at the job as not secure. You a job jobber. Unless it can improve your case. I say quiet as its kept. But you didn't hear it from me. LOL

This is my suggestion. have just in case. But if not asked for don't offer might invite questions. They have I-864 and well just flow with it but keep aside never offer nothing you aren't asked for.

I just got off the phone with NVC, she told me they're done scheduling for October. Not sure how accurate this is.

Let me ask you did you ask "are you finish scheduling for October?" Or did you ask "Are you finish scheduling for Armenia for October?"

To get an answer out of USCIS and NVC you have to be very very specific. They could very well be done with this embassy or that and asking just are you done they may not know. But when you still see people schedule many times those are still empty slots and they still fill just all depends when they shut it down.

I was thinking that but seeing its just 2 weeks why mess up the apple cart and complicate things. You are almost done. So long as everything is cool no need. But if asked sure submit new forms. Like where does your husband work now you would have to mention the new place and say by the way he just started 2 weeks ago and we weren't sure if we needed to submit a new I-864 but here is one all done by my husband just in case.
