You can check on the CEAC website. https://ceac.state.gov

I received P4 letter yesterday! When I saw the status yesterday's morning, it was at NVC but today, it's READY!

I sent the embassy an email to request an earlier interview date. My daughter is waiting in the states with my husband. I'd love to go back there as fast as I can. Wish me luck!

Hi everyone,

What happen if the sponsor (spouse) got a new job and will start 2 weeks before interview? In this case do we need to update our I-864ez form to bring to interview? NVC has asked me to bring original I-864ez form to interview since NVC treated our I-864ez as a scanned one (husband signed it with black ink). Update the job to a new one or not?

Thanks!

Hi maniput,

I wonder how they will know if he just started a new job two weeks prior to the interview. Bring the most recent pay stub for new job as well as the last pay stub for old job. I would ask NVC, the embassy, and then bring the original I-864 EZ and another updated 864EZ with new job, regardless of what they say. I am holding off on starting a job anywhere else until the visa is approved since I do not know how they treat a sudden job change. Hopefully it is all good. Also, bring a resume for your spouse and for yourself, just in case they ask for it or it may help somehow.

I just got off the phone with NVC, she told me they're done scheduling for October. Not sure how accurate this is.

You may speak to one agent that tells you one thing and then the next day speak to another agent that tells you something completely different. Before we got our interview date, I called in early September and spoke to an agent that told me, "Your case was just completed August 19th. I don't think you will get an interview in October. I think you'd be LUCKY to get an interview in November." I was deflated by his harsh words and sulked for the next few days. I called a few days later (don't let them get you down) and, behold ... we were scheduled for an interview on October 5th. Some agents take their bad days out on callers ... don't let it get you down.

They may still have a few places open in October. Cancellations and schedule adjustments can also create spaces in a schedule that had none before. Keep pressing on and hoping! Your time will come! :D

Finally, finally, .... FINALLY!! After waiting for what seemed like an eternity, I awoke this morning to find the P4 email in my inbox! Everything is right with the world again! Ok, not right ... it would be right if my case showed 'In Transit' or 'Ready' instead of 'At NVC'! I'm hoping it will change soon. Our appointment is just 11 days away!!

To those of you still waiting or in process, good luck to you!! May your cases all be handled in the quickest possible way and may all your calls to the NVC have a short time on hold!

To those of you who have gone before us, mere words will never express my gratitude for sharing your knowledge of the process. You are the reason we were able to glide through the entire process without too much suffering! (L)

And finally, dwheels76 ... you are indeed an angel! I've read countless posts from you offering your advice and help to all in need. Your help, your spreadsheet, and your tireless dedication to help all of us on this journey are appreciated more than you will ever know!! (L)

Now that our journey to see the wizard is near the end I shall prepare to click my heels ... here's hoping our journey home is as quick and effortless as Dorothy's!

Awwww ibbarry you are so kind and sweet. And its my pleasure and honor to be here for each and everyone of my peeps here. To hear We are approved. My hubby my wife is coming home is sweet music to my soul. So TOTO there really is no place like home.

Hey!guys.

Got my p4 letter and in it got a code F for divorce deccree.Does it mean they don't require my wife to come to the interview with that document?

Ps:my divorce decree was included in the document sent at NVC.

Originals are suppose to be brought to interview. I have sen where the petitioners decree was asked. So I would have it. I know it says "wasn't asked for" or something like that

Hey can someone send me the current codes. What I have in the first post is circa 2012 and its old and doesn't even list F.

Hi,

Sorry just a bit confused, if the petitioner is divorced does the applicant need to bring the original divorce decree of the petitioner?

When I called NVC initially I was told it applies to the applicant and the applicant's original divorce decree is supposed to be brought to the interview. But didn't say anything about the petitioner's original divorce decree when I asked.

Thank You.

Thanks!

If this was my situation, since it's only 2 weeks before interview, unless the new job has a tidy income increase that would help my case, I wouldn't complicate things by informing them.

I've asked that question before, and saw other's ask as well and always the answers are conflicting.... Yes, no, maybe, Yes, no, maybe.

I sure hope not! I sent copies to NVC, but my original would require a hand search through boxes of old flies in a court house archive basement, because it was way back. It would cost me a tidy sum and take quite awhile to get.

Good luck!

I believe jayisis is correct. I talked to an agency with the same question. And he answered that if it just one or two weeks, dont mention at the embassy at all.. just show the recent pay stub if and only if asked for proof. I'm sending the new I-864 form with the same details as I filled in the previous form. Most important is that - just mention that no change happened, since visa application submission, in terms of job.

Good luck!!!

Thanks everyone! I just hope embassy won't ask me that, although big possibility they may ask that. I just hope it won't be a big deal for them. I will ask my husband to send another updated 864EZ, scan his last pay stub plus his resume. But of course I won't show or tell them if they don't ask anything about it.
