Me too!

I was so excited to push 2 instead of 7, and then the guy was saying it was 30 days bla bla bla and I said, oh, I know people who had their DS-261 reviewed the same day...so I guess I won't be able to pay my fee yet, huh? and he's like yeah, whatever set of words works (to make me go away)

Well they just added me in today (although my date added number is actually yesterday according to the chart linked from Saylin's wiki...I dunno), so I guess I can't get too cranky about it.

I will try again tomorrow.

The same is here. Ours was added yesterday

I am gonna try to call tomorrow also

Can we keep each other updated since we have been assigned in the same day and doing the steps in the same dates ?

Did I do the right thing? I called the NVC and and the two said I'm over the 30 days so she put me on supervisor review.... But as I've read here that this can take up to 42 days. She didn't even ask my permission to put it on review... Urrgh!!! I'm stresssssseeedddd!

I got my CC about a week after I got put on supervisors review. I also was calling every other day after I got the review and kept asking to speak to a supervisor.

Have you received your interview date yet? My case was complete on the 25th. If not, do you call every day?

Does the NVC typically take awhile to mail your case to your embassy? Im not at that step yet but some timelines that i have been tracking that i saw updated for Canada it took almost a month for them to mail it and then the interview was scheduled about a month after that. Looking for some hope that somehow it could be mailed within days haha

Sent in my AOS and IV documents today, should arrive tomorrow! woohoo.

Have a couple of questions related to NVC. I tried calling today and had an unhelpful agent... I asked to talk to a supervisor, she put me on hold for a minute then came back and said one isn't available and one will cal me back 'soon.' Has anyone had supervisors actually call back, or should I just try calling again to get a different more helpful agent?

My account is still locked and the DS-261 hasn't been reviewed since I submitted it on Sept 18. Would like this reviewed quickly so that we can pay the IV bill and fill out the DS-260 before they start reviewing the documents I just sent in...

More importantly, the address that NVC has for the beneficiary is wrong - the street address and postal code are correct, but whoever on their end entered it into the system put in the country as her country of nationality instead of her country of residence. The agent I spoke to today told me they won't be able to change this on the phone and I will have to submit to NVC an to make the change, which will have a 45 day review time. I asked why this is if it is incorrect data entry, and the agent didn't have a response...

My question is: Does anyone have experience dealing with an address incorrectly input by NVC? Does it matter if the address on the welcome letter is wrong? We got all the documents via email, and my wife will put her correct address on the DS-260. Should I follow up with the supervisor on this or just let it go and hope it doesn't cause any issues down the road?

Keep asking to talk to the supervisor to get your case unlocked. In the end the supervisor did not even speak to me just unlocked the case while I waited with the agent. I called around 10 pm EST and seemed to have luck.

No interview date yet. Interviews for Nov won't be assigned for a couple weeks yet so I'm not overly obsessing over that yet. So calling once a week right now. Around the 2 week of Oct, I'll probably start calling twice a week until I hear something until the end of the month. But calling everyday at this point doesn't speed anything up and NVC doesn't have control over the number of interview spots at each embassy.

@ndkellys

Well the same thing happened to us buy in a little different way. When we applied the beneficiary was living in Canada and listed his present address as Canada. However the question that asked where we would want to do the interview (on i130) we said Kingston, Jamaica. However, when the case number was assigned on August 5 we realized that NVC erred and assign us a Montreal vase number. On the same call we were instructed to send an email to asknvc@state.gov on the 5th of August and have yet to receive a response from them. We however, sent a letter in the AOS package requesting they change it. So we're hoping by time the docs are reviewed it'll be updated. We'll keep u posted... You have to keep calling them until they're tired of you

If God takes us to it, He'll bring us through it. He'll never take us where His grace cannot reach and keep us

We just got our case number and the INN and submitted the d261 form

So excited !!

But the lady didnt want to add our emails

Must have been the same lady I spoke to as well.

I was not able to add my email until I was about to get my ds 261 reviewed 2 weeks later, by a lady who had a non-American accent.

Has anyone had supervisors actually call back, or should I just try calling again to get a different more helpful agent?

I have read that supervisors don't always actually call back, so your best bet is to simply call again.

My account is still locked and the DS-261 hasn't been reviewed since I submitted it on Sept 18. Would like this reviewed quickly so that we can pay the IV bill and fill out the DS-260 before they start reviewing the documents I just sent in...

My DS-261 was locked for about two weeks too. However, I did read somewhere that if you tell them that you are ready to pay the IV Bill, that will encourage them to hurry up and unlock it. Of course they want their money!

There is a phone option in which you can select update address, hopefully you can get thru on that option to update the address. But if not then, unfortunately, yes you have to email this to NVC. Someone else on here will be able to give you the proper email.

I believe as long as the correct address is on the DS-260, as that is the document that the embassy will be referring to, and the address that will be used for green card purposes, then it should be okay. If you are the choice of agent, and everything is going to you, then it should be okay. If not, then try to make sure that the choice of agent is able to get their email address added, so that all correspondence is emailed.

Congrats!! Could u share what your checklists were about? Thanks

I got 3 different checklists before I got to this stage. The first checklist was on AOS documents. The second was as a result of their carelessness. They declared missing documents on the documents I had submitted earlier and so I had to re-submit them again. The third checklist was to provide my current residence permit in Canada. But I remember I submitted that when I relocated to Canada.
