They will scan it, as it track it in the their database but I don't think they will get to yours to review before you finish with the DS-260.

You dont get checklist for this? so if aos fee is paid and ds261 is done.. you can send your package even before IV and ds260? there is nothing to worry?

Basically CR1 is the type of visa that one receives if the couple is married for less than 2 years, and it's not a permanent visa (our case, for example).

Have a look at that wiki, you'll get a good idea about these Visa Classes.

You can find that out. Check your 'Welcome Letter' - Document Cover Sheet, just above the barcode is your case number and 'visa class'. Also, when you print your Document Cover sheet after paying AOS and IV fee, the 'visa class' is indicated at the very bottom, below the barcode.

Hi there our dates seem to be very similiar. I too checked yesterday and noticed our fee was paid and immediately submitted the DS260. Our package was delivered to NVC on the 9/22 however no email yet regarding receipt. I will be following up on your progress hopefully we can get a 20 day review like some of the members who already have on this thread.Best wishes to us both.

Our docs were received September, 23rd by NVC. So, it's the three of us. :-) Let's hope we'll get a fast CC.

Yes. And since our spouses are all from small countries, hopefully, we can get our interview dates fast as well.

Hello everyone!!! I have a quick question We got our checklist in 17 days but once we respond to the checklist it takes FOREVER!!!!.. 25 days and still counting ??. Everyone on here is getting CC in 20 days. Why is taking so long?? what should we do????

Btw they confirmed our checklist response.

I would recommend calling them once a day until you have managed to convince them to look at your checklist response. CC in 20 days is usually without getting checklist.. Good luck

you may choose to send package before IV fee & 260. However, make sure 260 is submitted not more than a week after they scan your package. Waiting too long, not sure how long exactly, may result in checklist..

I'm so excited we received our NOA2 on 9/21, and since then I have gone over these forums a million times. I want to make sure we get everything right.

I have 2 questions, How soon should I start calling NVC? Everyone has a different story, and I don't want to waste anytime waiting for NVC to contact me if I don't have to.

Also, has anyone mailed in payment for the AOS and IV fees recently? NVC Website says that it can delay the process, however, I did read that if I send it overnight mail I shouldn't have any delays.

Any feedback is appreciated!

I would wait 1-2 weeks before calling NVC. It will take some time to go from the USCIS to NVC.

If you have a debit/credit card, save yourself the hassle and just pay the fee online.

Thank you! Can you pay with a Debit card/credit card? I thought I saw that you can only use a checking or savings account. Has the system been updated?
