I too tried to get a general status update and they lied to me, I don't think it is too much to ask to get a general update.

When did this 45 days review time come from? I have heard 35, it is like they just say anything that comes to mind. People are still getting 21 day document reviews.

I truly feel they pick up at random files they threw on the ground.

I have no idea! That was what she told me, but I'd heard 30-days from operators just a few weeks ago and also from the official paper we received. :huh2:

For those of you that are waiting 30+ days: do you have a joint sponsor? I remember reading somewhere on this forum that can cause a delay... :clock:

To my understanding, guys, NVC is not caring about whether our relationship is bona fide or not. It's concern is financial issues and the other terms of issuing an immigration visa. Correct?

That is correct. They are focused on the administrative tasks to ready you for the interview at the consulate. They also control traffic to the Consulate.

Hurry up NVC. ? My documents were received since August 31st , thought I would have heard something by now but still waiting. Based off of others CC dates I should be hearing something soon. Just hope all this is done in time for my husband birthday on November 5. This journey has been long enough.

Hi guys, I called NVC and was told that I need to wait 30 days for NVC to receive case from USCIS. Got approved on Sep. 15. Should I keep calling to get a "right" person who can tell where my case is?

Hello everyone!!! I have a quick question We got our checklist in 17 days but once we respond to the checklist it takes FOREVER!!!!.. 25 days and still counting ??. Everyone on here is getting CC in 20 days. Why is taking so long?? what should we do????

Btw they confirmed our checklist response.

I'm convinced that anyone who gets a checklist gets put into a separate pile and forgotten about. Our case didn't get touched until 42 days after we responded to the checklist and I think that's only because I called and called and called and finally got them to put us on a supervisor review around 38 days and then kept calling.

For those who have submitted the new i-864. Did you put n/a or none in every single box that did not have anything to do with your case?

Or did you leave them blank?

Especially the last few pages which are all about an interpreter...I have left them completely blank.

I put N/A just to be on the safe side. I N/A all over it where it didn't apply.

Hi there,

It looks like they take somewhere around 1 week-10 days at the low end to 2 weeks-20 days at the high end to receive from the service center. Mine took 21 days actually, but some people are luckier than that :) I called every 2 or 3 days after one week had passed. Of course now I have to wait at least another week for the case number to be assigned. There's always something else to wait for ;)

Good luck!
