You might try after 9pm EST when it quiets down at NVC.

Congrats!

I guess they are still focusing mostly on scheduling interview dates. Few case completes are trickling in this week but not like week before last.

You said 9PM EST. Does the NVC works after 5PM also? They won't even take the calls in the afternoon as far as I remember. Is there any separate number for evening call?

Thanks.

Ok thats good news, thank you CallMeShams.

You probably already know this but you can send your documents to the NVC using the bar code from your AOS fee for your AOS and Civil documents.

Once NVC gets back to rolling with the documents reviews you may get a fast review.

I agree with jayisis. Evening is the time when calls are usually lesser, so it's easier for you to get through. My husband likes to call around that time too.

I think calling tomorrow to ask them the status of your case would be a idea. See if you can get them to confirm it was flagged without mentioning it. Hopefully that will be in the case notes..

What do you actually mean by "flagged"? Any reason why a certain case gets flagged?

Yes indeed thanks for the info, my husband and I are getting the package together right now to be submitted before this week ends. We are including some proof to support our relationship since the only thing we submitted to uscis was our marrige certificate. We were advised to side load so hopefully we can send the package out tomorrow.

My case is past the 30 days timeline so the representative I spoke to over the phone is going to have a supervisor go over my case or "flagged". She makes it sound special that she's doing it and then drops the bomb on me "which could take another 42 days"!!!! My heart jumped in my throat. I felt like somebody killed my childhood dog.

Hi, do we need to submit photos (supporting docs) like wedding etc.. and 2x2 passport photos (beneficiary) to NVC?

No, you should NOT submit wedding albums, plane tickets, and chat logs to NVC.

You MAY submit 2 2x2 passport photos if you wish, which NVC will forward to the embassy/consulate, but it is my understanding that NVC does not need your passport photos for the visa preprocessing done at NVC. I submitted 2 2x2 photos even though two experienced NVC reps told me it was not needed.

You are encouraged to bring all extra original proof of relationship to the interview with you.

If you guys have any questions specifically for me,

I will be glad to help via private message.

Well...... I just got off the phone with the NVC rep... I'm now on supervisors review.... Yaaay.... I heard these suck.

So I got flagged for a supervisor review 2 days ago. The rep that flagged my case wouldn't give me a time frame for how long it would take. Called back tonight "I want to know the status of my case". The rep confirmed without me saying anything my case had been flagged. I asked to speak to a supervisor, "one couldn't be found". Talked to the rep another minute and said I had been trying to speak to a supervisor for several days and had requested a callback and never got one, then asked again to speak to a supervisor again and he managed to "find" one. The supervisor said he'd forward my request to another supervisor but he couldn't do anything about it. Basically said it was my fault I'm in this mess because I sent docs before I submitted the DS260. Well if their website had been working the DS260 would have been submitted sooner and I wasn't expecting them to review my case in 11 freaking day. And said it could take up to 42 more days. I said flat out that it wasn't acceptable since they say it will only take 30 days and it had been over 30 days already and I knew that others had received CCs that had submitted doc after me. Since all the reps say they process cases in order in which they're received, either they're lying or something else is going on. Anyways this supervisor goes on to say that he wasn't actually available, he took my call because he wanted to help and he would call me back when my case is complete. I'm giving them another 2 days before I call back again.

Polite but insistent the whole time.

I also find it very frustrating when their phone system says it's approximately a 20 minute wait and it takes 40+ minutes before you actually get to talk to someone. I was in a much better mood after only 20 minutes on hold vs 40 minutes on hold.
