Woohoo congrats 'Shams!.. seems like they are back on the document reviews.. hope you get a speedy interview date

Thanks. I needed it. Looking forward to getting an interview date. Don't know how fast since it seems the Embassy is slow here but hoping for good things.

I think your theory is probably the more reasonable one. I will be looking forward to seeing more case complete coming up.

Writing a case number on photocopied documents would not cause any issues.

Thank you very much Ryan H, CallmeShams and Sekhvaruli for your help and insight. I will write out the NVC case on the top of all the pages in the package except the printed-out bar code cover sheet which already has the case number on it.

Thanks!

hello

how long the nvc takes to review the checklist , (almost )

thank u

I responded to a checklist on Aug 6th and I still don't have a case complete. We just had website problems submitting the DS260, so everything else is fine. I called again tonight and my case was flagged for a supervisor review but the rep wouldn't say how long that could take.

When submitting the DS 260 online, in the final section that says 'Did anyone assist you in submitting this application?' if I filled out the application on behalf of my spouse (the beneficiary), do I need to reflect that it was the petitioner/spouse that filled out the application, or is that typically meant for an external party (like a third-party agent or attorney) that is filling out the DS 260 for their client?

Thanks!

This is against you at all, so let me start by saying congratulations to you!!

With that being said, it completely outrages me that I have a scan date of 8/11 and I'm still waiting.... This is so stupid. Doesn't make sense nor is it fair...

Im getting very anxious now... you are right! this is not fair at all. Our case is well over 30 days!

Did you call NVC today?

It should change anytime. There is no link betweenn you receiving NOA2 copy by mail verses changing the status. Normally it takes two weeks to change the status. You can keep calling NVC twice a week asking the case# and IIN#.

My AOS finally shows PAID on the 9th business day after paying.

Still no IV invoice so I will be calling tomorrow morning as soon as they open to have them go over the DS-261 or I will ask for a supervisor if they still say it is locked. I need to get the IV fee paid so I can submit the DS-260 online and email the I-864, I-864A & all the supporting documents.

Wish me luck!

Good Luck.. Be friendly but don't accept the supervisor call back they like to offer- they rarely call back. If they say it's locked just call until you get someone who is willing to transfer you directly to a sup.

I am so happy folks. I got the case complete today.

1st Scan Date- 17th August.

Checklist- 4th September.

Hubby sent another package on the 10th of September (Thursday) and USPS tracking showed it was delivered on the 14th of September.

Today we got a email from NVC that our package was received on the 8th of September. I think, this means they found the previous package we sent to them.

New Scan Date - 8th September.
