Hello all,

We submitted our documents for AOS/IV on September 7th via EP. I have not heard anything since. Does anyone know how long it takes to get notice they received it via EP? I am thinking of calling on Monday if we hear nothing since it will have been a week.

I mailed my documents on September 1, got an email on 9/9 that they got it on 9/4.

We completed our choice of agent form and also paid our aos fees. Am I correct in saying that we can use the cover sheet generated for the aos fees to send both the aos and iv packages. I also notice that it is being asked to call nvc to review the choice of agent form, is this supposed to be done before we can advance to the next step? Also can we send our package before we advance to the next step?

Very cool, you might see the IV fee come up sooner than 7 days. Mine showed up the next day, possibly in the evening. I checked every hour I was awake so I could pay it ASAP

Yes, you may use the cover sheet generated after paying for the AOS fee to send the AOS/IV package as one item.

You do need to review the 261 over the phone after the AOS fee shows PAID.

Only after having the 261 reviewed will see the IV fee, perhaps after a few days.

After paying the IV fee and showing PAID, you will see the 260 available to fill out. You must get to this point of submitting 260 before nvc starts to review your AOS/IV package to avoid a possible checklist.

We just received our case # yesterday over the phone, I was checking it at CEAC website yesterday and everything looked OK.

Now I am reading this:

This case is in the process of termination. Fee payments and online forms can no longer be accepted. If you believe you have received this message in error, or to resume processing of the case, please contact the NVC immediately.

Please, tell me somebody, what that might mean? I will go crazy until Monday, when I will be able to make a call

Can the reason be that I filed the expedite request, which is under review now?

Just a lil update from us: today I received an email stating that they received our docs on September 9th So guess that's our official scan date! Now, just playing the waiting game and keeping our fingers crossed that we won't get a checklist!

It took 9 days for my case, and 12 for my daughter's. And they only sent an email confirming after I called asking for it (for both cases).

However, my impression is that once they recognize the receipt, they start working on it really fast.

Man! Why don't they use a less scaring message while working on the case.... I cried and woke my husband, who was napping after the night shift. We both were freaking out for a couple of hours...

My peace of mind is why I call.

I ask them the status, what happens next, about the process. Never the same operator and I have been LUCKY to get the ones that will talk and look up our case and see the status and tell me to give it a few weeks and call back. Mostly they tell me what I have already read in the guides here.
