Happened to me a few times as well! Once you've put in any waiting past 30 minutes, you feel like you owe it to yourself to stay on the line and get through...not to mention the Skype credit you've already invested! I know how frustrating it is! But keep calling! Sometimes you get lucky, and sometimes even when you call the first minute they open-they keep you on hold for 20 minutes!

Luck of the draw, I suppose!

Very much so...I'm a little scared to see what my phone bill is like this month!

It will have to wait until tonight or tomorrow morning, I had to get to work. I suppose the longer it takes me to get through, the better the chance I will have a number assigned :P

Here is an article that I hope will encourage us during this waiting period. I personally can use this advice. We can make goals all of our life, but ultimately God's plan supersedes our plans.

So when I got through to NVC, I chose 7 since I'm just trying to see if they got my stuff yet.

The message said there is currently a 20-minute wait. OK.

40 minutes pass, and it sounds as though I'm getting picked up (it rings) and then they disconnected me.

<_<

same thing just happened to me!! Ridiculous.

Does anybody know if the NVC reviews cases all day long, until midnight?

So I just got off the phone with NVC and was told by the rep that our documents were received August 31st but was entered in their system on September 2nd. So I'm confused

I understand to mean that they started working on your petition September 2nd which sounds good.

For those who have got their scan date already, how were you notified? I sent in the AOS and IV package a week ago and no email or notice they have received it.

Thanks!

By e-mail. I think it was 2 day after they received my package.

I take it your e-mail is on file if you have received previous e-mail correspondence from NVC.

Ok thank you!

Yes my email is on file. I will give it another few days in case they are slow from the holiday. If I don't get anything I will give them a call.

Both by e-mail and call. I got the e-mail right after my husband called and got confirmation that NVC had scanned my docs. If it's been a week, just call them to confirm.

Congrats uu got ur cc as u have 3 n/a

Ur checklisted items to be brought at interview. Don't send it to nvc coz it will open ur case again

In 7 working day u will get cc email. Call them tomorrow to confirm ur cc

I think my case was just completed. I now have the infamous N/A by the AoS fee. Could this means anything else? I did get a checklist, so I'm not sure if it might be related to that somehow. Also calling the NVC to confirm.

Is it true that you can leave your passport photos out of your IV package and bring them to your interview? Im visiting my husband next thursday and could wait to bring them and then mail it out, its a difference of maybe 6 business days? Should i wait or send it without?

I already sent in the checklisted items, but that was almost a month ago so this N/A means that they've accepted my new documents. :)

Tried calling them, but my internet connection was acting up on me and the lady couldn't hear me well enough. Guess I'll have to wait until later to confirm.

:ranting: Just got off the phone with NVC to see why we still don't have a case complete after we got a checklist for the DS260 when it's been over 30 days. Oh it's taking 45 days now to review cases, don't call back until it's been 45 days. But your website and all the info says 30 days?? I asked about people getting case completes in 20 days or less and the rep basically said I was lying because she had never heard of that happening to anyone. Then I asked well what about us getting a checklist after 11 days. Oh you must have gotten really lucky because that never happens. I asked a million different ways trying to understand why it's taking so freaking long and each time was told it's perfectly normal and everything is taking 45 days now. They're about to hate me... I'll be calling morning and night now until it gets reviewed.
