My husband submitted the AOS form. Why the checklist.

Hi! Which form did he submit? Cause there are several I-864 forms and they must be used only if you meet the requirements :/ Maybe that's why the checklist for AOS? Not sure if it would be of any use to try and call NVC and clarify this?

Some people are having problems because there is a new version of form i-864 and the NVC is refusing old ones. Do you know which one he sent? (There's usually a date on it).

Do you also need to send the other documents mentioned on the letter? Did you have a problem submitting them before?

He downloaded the new USCIS Form I-864 which Expires 07/31/2017

The other documents are for me, he submitted all and there was no problem submitting them.

I'm sorry about that. You should call the NVC on Tuesday and ask them exactly what they want.

There are a few cases in which they send "fake checklists" asking for things you've submitted before - it's a system glitch. They just did that for my daughter - I paid her IV fee, her status page has changed to PAID, but they've sent me a checklist for it just the same.

That's why calling is the best thing - they will either explain what they need exactly or it may turn out to be a mistake after all.

Got email yesterday morning. But couldn't open attachment. Called NVC and they said it was just the notification the AOS/IV was received Monday. Strange thing was I didn't get the 30 day dialog. Instead she said it will be a few days before it gets to review.

Wow, a few days? That certainly sounds promising!

My Docs were also received on Monday, and I haven't gotten an email either.... Someone said they just got an email yesterday with their scan date of Aug 26th, I believe the system is just slow. I am guessing we will get our emails by mid/end of next week?

Same thing happened with ours...I tracked our packages and saw when they arrived, but didn't get an email until a few days later which had the original date they arrived as the scan date.

Nikkystel, search on here for "fake checklist" or "false checklist"--since everything isn't logged at NVC instantly, sometimes they think they didn't receive things you have already sent, and the system automatically generates a checklist.
