AOS paid August 31st and shows PAID

DS-261 still not reviewed from August 31st.

Was advised by NVC rep to send in the I-864 along with the supporting docs for AOS & DS-260. E-mailed September 15th.

I will be calling in the morning to get the DS-261 reviewed so I can pay the IV fees and submit the DS-261 before they send me a checklist because the documents were submitted before the fees & forms.

Has anyone else did it in this order and not had a problem?

Call tonight and when they answer say youd like to check if your choice of agent form had been reviewed yet

I did it in the same order, and called nvc tonight and asked them if that was ok and if it would cause any errors or delays, she said she never heard of that before and that it should be fine,I just need to wait 30 days after sending in my Ds 260.

So, the only thing we need printed from CEAC website is the barcoded sheet from the payment portal, right?

It means, right after both fees show as paid, we can print out that sheet and send the package out, correct?

What is the best method of mailing to NVC? i am considering USPS because it is cheapest. But I see cases of mail getting lost. What do you suggest?

Well, we used DHL and we paid $100! We did ship the papers all the way from Romania, but for our peace of mind we sent with what we considered the best! I think it's worth the extra money, and you know for sure that your papers are getting in their hands. We sent it tracked and signed for. When the package was delivered we got a text and an email as well. After few days we got an email from NVC saying that our scan date is the 9th of Sept (same date when we received the update from DHL). So as I said, for us it didn't matter the money..it was more important to know that the package gets into the right hands.

Just talked to NVC (only about 3 minutes on hold).

Finally went over the DS-261 and was told IV fees should open in 7-10 business days and then the DS-260 will open a few days after fee paid.

You can send both the packages after payment of one fees. The first fee you pay is AOS. After making the payment you get a barcode page comes online. Just use that as the cover page and send both the AOS and IV package.
