Nikkystel, search on here for "fake checklist" or "false checklist"--since everything isn't logged at NVC instantly, sometimes they think they didn't receive things you have already sent, and the system automatically generates a checklist.

Thanks!

I had Ds-260 completed back in 8/19 and I m still waiting on the IV fee to be available. I clicked on the ds260 today and it looks like I resubmitted by mistake and the date now is 9/5 , will that delay my iv fee ?

Hi There,

I've been having some issues with calling NVC and getting in touch with the right department - this has happened 3 times now. I am at the stage where I have filled out the DS 261, paid the AOS fee, and am waiting for the DS 260 to be available to me along with the IV invoice.

- I call 603-334-0700

- I press 1 for English (the only other option is 2 for Spanish, if I don't press anything, I get disconnected)

- I press 1 to speak to customer rep (no other option, if I don't press anything, I get disconnected)

- When I get connected to a rep after ~25-30 minutes, they take my NVC case number, check on their side, and say that I've pressed a wrong button, because they are only handling cases where the interview has already been scheduled/taken place, and that they will connect me to the right department. When they do that, I either get disconnected, or I come back to the same department again.

Anyone else facing this? Any pointers on what I might be doing wrong?

Thanks

Not sure if anyone knows that the NVC Phone Directory has changed as of September 2nd (the date when I called for case number)
Here is the NEW NVC DIRECTORY:

Another question for those of you who are in the process or have already sent in your AOS and IV packages - along with the required documentation that is outlined in the instructions, did you send any other supporting documentation? For example, the documentation that proves relationship that you sent to USCIS (like the calling records, emails, letters, air ticket itineraries, stubs, etc.), or is that not required for these packages?

Thanks

Hi musicalm!

First of all, we sent the packages on Friday so the NVC still hasnt received them. So I'm not sure if what we sent is going to be enough or not but I will keep posting here when I have any updates.

2nd, no we didnt send anything extra for proof of relationship. Our case is a bit complicated and we had to send a lot of financial documents, for the AOS. Also, we didn't send either any phone records, conversations etc to USCIS. We just sent the marriage certificate and the lease contract to prove that we are living together.

Hope this helps! I'm sure you'll get some other input from the other VJ members.

We only sent one additional document that was not available when we submitted the I-130. Not a requirement but important enough to us to include in the IV papers.

The only personal relationship document that we sent with the AOS package was a form stating my name change after marriage, since all the I provided US accounts are still in my maiden name though legally I have a new last name. All of the other personal relationship documents we sent with the original package only to USCIS, not NVC.

Hi,

It's not required. We didn't send any additional documentations. But we've started preparing them, like flight ticket, call record, email/message record, etc, for my interview later.
