Hi,

I know this topic has been heard many of times. Maybe someone can send me in the right direction. I have heard many of answers and want to know if someone has a link on the topic or has experience.

I have a validity for my 129F until Nov 20th but due to certain circumstances with my mother's health I more time to get the DS160 and set the interview date. I heard some people say you have to go the consulate to get an extension, I heard it is automatically done and revalidated, and I heard it expires. Anyone have an answer?? Thanks,

They are typically extended automatically, but you can be on the safe side by contacting the consulate about your situation and asking about the petition approval being extended. Each consulate may have their own procedures and requirements for doing so(as with most things at this stage), and they should let you know what to do when you contact them.

Yes. Contact them and provide your name, her name, and your case#. Let them know you will not be able to apply for the actual K-1 visa until after the I-129F petition expires, and will the approval just be extended automatically. I believe Juarez does extend them automatically without you needing to provide anything else.
