Hotel recommendation Montreal consulate

I am hoping to find the closest possible hotel to the consulate in Montreal, that is a easy safe walking distance. . Any advice..? Also does anyone know how far the montreal medysis /medical centre is from the consulate?

Ten-minute walk from the clinic to the consulate.

Closest hotel is probably Square Phillips, but many others are really close (Hilton Bonaventure, Fairmont Reine Elizabeth, etc.). Montreal is generally safe. The consulate area does get quiet between 3am and 5 am, so that might not be the best time to just take a walk on your own then... Otherwise, it's normal downtown activities.

You could look at recent threads in the Canada subforum for more suggestions.

Personally, I'd go in the Old Montreal, twenty minute walk or so.

Courtyard Marriott! I just got back from my week in Montreal. Right across the street from the consulate and about 10 min walk from my medical at medisys

Thank you both! Im excited to see old montreal, and relieved to know everything is walking distance. Any estimate on a nightly rate at the Courtyard Marriott?

If you're familiar with AirBnB at all I recommend that. There's many BnB's around the consulate and we had a whole apartment to ourselves for less that the cost of the hotels around there, which we thought were expensive.

I heard it's best to book it like a month or so in advance.

I did see air bnb....but ill prob go with the courtyard Marriott...if I can. If not ill use other recommendations on the list.

I paid $97.59 including taxes for Days Inn.

Definitly some great options here. I want to be as close as possible to the consulate, but have to spend ten days in Montreal, so its costly for sure. But prob worth the convenience. Im going to call around this week. Thanks for the great tips and advice.
