You really don't know anyone? Maybe a family member knows someone? Usually, there's always a distant relative or a friend of a friend that lives in the USA.

What country are you from? Maybe someone can get you contact with the local community and they could help you out.

You could try contacting the Arab American Association in NY. I know personally that it's a very close community that is always willing to help someone out.

I'm sure there are also multiple organizations throughout US and there may be a specific Moroccan community organization as well.

I think the only problem with the hotel address is that the GC will be sent to that address and after submitting the DS-260 it is very hard to get the address changed afterwards.

I also don't know if hotels are willing to accept mail for people that aren't actually staying at the hotel yet.

Hi,

the best solution my friend used to get an address, try with your family and friends in Morocco if they have some in USA to get an Address and tell him you need just use the address to receive the papers and won't come to their house.

good luck.

No, it is not "very hard" to get the address changed at all. There are two very easy ways of doing it, in fact. You can change it during your interview, and/or you can change it when you enter the country at the port of entry - presumably by then you know where you will actually be staying.

No-one suggested that you actually get the card sent to somewhere you are not staying, it is simply a solution to the fact that you need a valid street address before you can submit your DS260. (and if by "yet" you mean you are booked in at a hotel, yes they usually will hold mail for you especially if you let them know you are expecting something, but as the green cards don't get sent until 1-2 months after you land that seems an irrelevant point anyway?)

I presumed the OP was referring to the question on the DS-260 that asks where they want their green card mailed since in my opinion, that is the main concern.

I've also read situations on VJ where members took proper procedures in having their address changed and yet USCIS still sent their GC to the address they listed on DS260.

Yes, you will always find examples of things that go wrong. I personally know a bunch of people who had no problem doing it the way I said. As I said, your suggestion was a good one (you'll also find if you search hard enough people who got blackmailed doing it that way by having strangers get their stuff for them).
