Hello every one my case has been sent to consulate on August 5 and when I check my status it says "ready" I feel like it's been forever until I get to my interview so my question is should we sit and wait for package 3 or 4 ?? Or collect my documents and set date for my interview ? And if anyone knows what's the waiting time for interview in addis consulate? Thank you

I would try to post this in the regional forums or search for other members with fiances from Ethiopia and private message them. Each embassy has different procedures, and unfortunately, I don't know anything about Ethiopa's process. Someone will chime in, I'm sure.

K1 until Green Card

01/13/15 - I-129F package sent

01/15/15 - Arrived at Texas Service Center (sigh...)

01/27/15 - NOA1 in hand

07/16/15 - Case was approved!

07/21/15 - NOA2 in hand

07/24/15 - Case sent to NVC

08/03/15 - NVC Case # Assigned / Case sent to embassy (estimate)

08/05/15 - Arrived at embassy

08/12/15 - Packet 3 received

08/17/15 - Packet 3 sent

08/28/15 - Packet 4 received

09/28/15 - Medical

09/30/15 - Interview - approved

10/07/15 - K1 Visa in hand

10/22/15 - POE

11/06/15 - Married!

12/15/15 - I-485 package sent
02/29/16 - I-485 approved (interview waived)

03/08/16 - Green Card in hand

rules change you actually set your fiancé interview . this should help you out along . check out the link, not sure if you have to wait for a packet or not but maybe it tells in detail in the first link

Received : December 1, 2014
Received DS-261 / AOS Bill : January 1, 2015
Pay AOS Bill : January 9, 2015
Submit DS-261 : January 7, 2015
Receive IV Bill : January 15, 2015 called after AOS showed paid, they released it overnight)
Pay IV Bill : January 23, 2015
Send IV and AOS: January 29, 2015
Scan date: February 3, 2015
Checklist: March 19, 2015 (only need to send south Africa police report)
Case Complete: June 3, 2015 

EMBASSY: 10 months

Thank but the website doesn't provide information about package 3 which I don't know if I shall wait for it or go ahead and do it

im not doing a k1 visa so hopefully someone can help you out but I do know you can set your own interview. that's for sure. have you tried setting your interview and see what it says?

yes i called that number before a real person do get on the phone. but by the time she came on I ran out of minutes. hahaha.. anyways they said on their website calling is better anyways. so call im sure they will tell you to either set your interview or wait for the packet.

Can you rember what numbers you touch b.c all it says press this is just people toking ??

yes your right. you have to press the exact number to get to a representative. sorry I don't remember what number I pressed but just listen to the options and press the one you want. at the end I did get a woman on the line
