You filed taxes wrong. You cannot file as Single if you were married as of December 31 of the year. It needs to be amended ASAP.

Not to mention the significant tax advantage..

OP: it does not matter if your wife does not have a SSN, it is possible to file. And if your wife was working in her country you need to look a double taxation treaties, otherwise, it is just a matter of adding deductions for wife and child
