Two weeks ago I sent my wife's AOS package to NSC along with a return receipt, but I have not heard anything. I've looked at the tracking and it was signed on 2/12/07. Should I have receive an NOA even if I didn't get the return receipt back?

What can I do at this time? Do I just wait or contact them? Thanks

Ask your bank if your check has been cashed, which would be, until the USCIS writes you, the best proof that they have received your application.

If you don't hear from the USCIS for a month, you could contact them though the 1-800 number.

I did not sent them a check, I sent them a money order.

Try not to PANIC yet!

You already know that nothing comes easy when it relates to USCIS.

You may be able to track cashing of the Money Order but generally these people want 30-60 days before allowing you to make an inquiry regarding a Money Order.

Some people have had to wait 1 month and others get info more quickly.
