My friend filed his I-864 with co sponsor. Today he got a letter saying he needs to resubmit and file a I-864A.

My friend filed an I-864. His sister and sisters husband also filed I-864. The sister and husband does not live with my friend. Do all of them file I-864A or only the Sister's husband or both sister and husband?

Thanks

There should only be one joint sponsor, who fills out the I-864. It could be either the sister or sister's husband; it doesn't matter. If that person's own income is not enough, their spouse's income can be used, and the spouse will fill out I-864A.

Thank you. Also my friend petitiones the kids in two seprate petition. Does he put immigrant two on the same i 864?

They should be on separate I-864s. But if they count as "dependent children", they will be counted as part of the household.
