Hi Guys,

I've been finding a lot of useful information on this forum. It's been very helpful. Today, I received an RFE for my I-485 application. I am the intending immigrant, and I'm using my income to meet the requirement on form I-864. The RFE stated that they need my recent year tax return and all the W-2s, 1099s...ect. I have all of those. However, in 2014 I won the lottery for a small amount and had a W-2G. I used that to file on my tax return. However, I misplaced the W-2G. My question is that do I need to submit that W-2G along with other tax documents? Fortunately, I took a picture of the W-2G. So, do you think if I could just print that out and send in as evidence?

Thanks in advance.

I did request one from the IRS. It said it'll take about 10 days to receive the transcript in the mail. I wanted to respond sooner to the USCIS. I was wondering if I could get a duplicate of that W-2G.

I'm not familiar with what a W-2G is but I want you to be aware that you should make sure to take your time and make sure you send in the right documents. If you get an RFE and you don't send in the proper documents and they feel you didn't rectify the issue they will not give you another RFE, they will deny AOS. So if you have already given you the W-2G or it's not enough I would recommend just patiently waiting for the transcript. I believe you have more than 10 days to respond to the RFE.

Thanks for your input. A W-2G is like a W-2 for your regular income (wages), except it's for lottery or gambling winning (at casino). In my case, I won the lottery. Well not a lot :). Also, I'm aware of the seriousness of RFEs. I guess my question is whether or not they will accept a picture print-out of a document? Because basically the print-out is a copy of the document. And, it's stated on the RFE that photocopies must be clear and legible. As you can see the attachment below, It is clear enough in my opinion.

Thanks again for your help.
