Oh, and I was wondering if anyone knows when you should start to gather the documents needed for the financial affidavit? I know you don't want to get them too soon, otherwise they can say that they are too old but when is the right time to start that? I don't want to get them too soon, but don't want to wait too long either. Any Idea?

If anyone is interested in numbers there are 180 K1 visas with NOA1 date of August 31st only 1 of those got a NOA2 lucky person!

How do you specify that you only want to view I-129Fs? When I do a batch search, I only see all applications.

I don't think you can, as it scans the reciept numbers not form numbers....

From everything I've read, the more proof you can provide for financial support, the better. Why do when do will do?

The Employment letter would be from your current employer only to show what you are currently making, that you are gainfully employed and in good standing with your current employer. :thumbs:

I'm still waiting on my NOA2, but I am slowly starting to gather the documents I need for my affidavit of support (for when that time comes).

Questions:

Is the employment letter mandatory? It's required because it shows what your current income is, and typically that is what is used to determine if you can support your beneficiary

And, if I have more than one job, do I have to get a letter from each job? You only need the current employer.

Also, for the tax transcript, I noticed that on the website you could request either 'account transcript' or 'return transcript'. Which one do they prefer? Tax Return Transcript

Finally, if I can show that I exceed the poverty line with my tax documents, do I still need to submit bank statements? If you exceed the poverty level, especially demonstrated by your current employment letter then there is no need for bank statements.

It's amazing how being woke up by your phone going off, you are ready to hurt the person texting you but then you realize its the text you've been waiting for confirming the USCIS has received your packet and all of the sudden you're perfectly ok with being woken up by it. LOL. Just got the text and email notice that our packet has been received and sent to the California Service Center. Happy Dance!! :dance: Now going back to bed if I can sleep now, heh

Yay, congrats!!! It's a relief isn't it? Now come on and hop in on the "eagerly-waiting-for-NOA2-hoping-we-get-it-in-3-weeks-just-like-the-August-filers" boat. LOL ?

Congrats!! Now the more anxiety-inducing waiting begins, lol. There's a possibility that we can have the visa before Christmas, but as they say- hope for the best but expect the worst. My fiancé and I were just talking about it last night. That the best case scenario will be being together already in the new year. ?
