Woohoo!! Congrats hon!

Perfect! Congratulations!

You should be the first one to go to the interview - you are from late August fillers, its fair :)

I should reach you soon!! :)

Thanks!!! I am really excited. They should send me tomorrow the date of interview. I really hope I will be able to be with my love at Christmas.

I hope for the best!

Good luck to you too :D

My fiancee is traveling to Beirut tomorrow to pick up packet3. She is then having her medical done before heading back home. Already have all the required paperwork, So we plan on calling the Embassy right after the medical to schedule an interview !! praying

Congrats to all those hearing good news and best wishes to all those with 'minor' setbacks

Congrats. I wish you good luck too :)

I am positive. :D

Hello!

I'm still waiting for the NVC to receive my case and assign me a case number (two weeks today!)

But I'm wanting to get a handle on the next steps now. My question is about the DS-160 form. When did you fill it out? Was it difficult? What information did you have to provide? If it matters my embassy is Montreal, Canada.

Thank you! I don't know what I'd do without this forum!

Hey there, I'm going to the Montreal consulate as well. You cant fill out the DS-260 without the MTL case number and invoice number but the others u should be able to fill out. The only other thing that u need to wait on is the pay stubs for supporting documentation that need to be very current, and the letter of intent to marry,.... that must be signed within thirty days of the interview.

Thanks for your reply! Our timelines are very similar! What did you mean by "others I should be able to fill out" what other forms besdies the checklist items and the DS-160 or are there more forms? I'm confused.

I only get as far as where I'm supposed to fill in the basic personal information. Once I reach "intended arrival" and the part where I can select K1... that's it. It freezes me out because I don't have the case number for it.

Ho hum. Looks like I'll wait till I get my notice from NVC...

Maybe you get some help from this link on completing your DS-160. You will need your case number to complete the 160.

Google is a friend if you understand him :D So they want to say I have to fill out I-864 not I-134?

JJ11, on 03 Nov 2015 - 10:28 AM, said:

What do they want to say?

Affidavit of Support For Fiancé(e), Spouse, or Child as a “K” Nonimmigrant

If your relative is either a “K-1” fiancé(e), a “K-3” spouse, or a “K-2” or “K-4” child of fiancé(e) or spouse, you do not need to submit an affidavit of support at the time you file your Form I-129F petition. Instead, you should submit an affidavit of support at the time that your fiancé(e), spouse, or child adjusts status to permanent resident after coming to the United States.

You fill out the I-134 for your interview. If you cannot meet the financial support (125% of the poverty level) then you will need a sponsor who also must meet that same requirement. Family members are always best to use. They will fill out the I-864. I hope this helps.

So I havent been on here for a while, but I am feeling much frustration at the moment. On Oct 30th i found out the case was sent to the Colombian embassy from NVC...thats great, i know. My situation is that ive only live in the states since june, therefore i dont meet the minimum income requirement for the affidavit of support so my brother will be our joint sponsor...my doubts are that his income from last year was very low, but since jan of this year up to now has had the same job earning 70k anually for next income tax.....what should i do if his income from last year is so low and i dont have any income from last year? I am able to provide all his required documentation such as pay stubs employment letter and bank statement, would this work? Considering the fact the interview would most likely be for next month? Id greatly appreciate any helpful responses....thank you!!!

I did fill out the DS-160 a week back but I don't remember filling out the invoice # anywhere. And for the MTL case # I think I was not sure that time so I think I entered my receipt number WAC####.

Anyone else driving themselves crazy checking your status? D; I sure wish there was an NVC app that would notify when your status changes. Seeing "At NVC" every time I check really gets me down in the dumps. And I need to know ASAP so I can request a leave from work. Even though I'm planning on scheduling the interview for late January they want me to put in the request now since I work at a school and they'll need to find a bilingual sub. I know they haven't even had my case at the NVC for a week but it seems like everyone gets out of their as soon as their case number is assigned *sigh*
