I had plans to call NVC today but I didn't even have to. Got the letter dated 'Oct 27' from NVC. Checked the status on the ceac website and it said CASE READY! woohoo! ☺

Starting to get a little frustrated. I contacted the embassy in Manila in regards to financial support documents, and they so kindly told me to check out their website for more information. This does not help me.

There are 3 forms, the I-134, I-864, and I-864a. I do not make enough income to pass 100% of the poverty level, let alone 125%. My mom is going to co-sponsor with me, however if I only submit an I-134 form with my information on it, we will for sure get denied because they will be concerned about her becoming a public charge. What am I supposed to submit for her to take to the interview so that she has the appropriate evidence to prove that she will be well taken care of here? I don't know and cannot find the answers. Everything just says submit the I-134. I think I should be filling out the I-864 and my mom filling out the i-864a, but I have no idea if that is right and if it will be acceptable for the interviewing agent. What do I do? I really need help here guys!

I looked at the I-134 instructions and it says only to use the tax return if I am self employed, which means I don't have that going for me anymore either. I'm getting really nervous. I NEED my co-sponsor. I was dependent on that all along and thought I could use a co-sponsor. She will be just fine financially because my co-sponsor will be caring for her financially. If they don't accept my co-sponsor, then there is nothing I can do to get her here until I finish college...in a year and a half! Not having a good day.

I've been following this thread to get a sense of NVC progress so I just wanted to share that my NOA2 was Oct. 8th and I just received our MDD # (Madrid) today. 25 days between NOA2 and NVC.

Current status is "At NVC", hoping it will be in transit soon!

Okay, feeling a tiny bit better. From the link I got earlier, it says that the co-sponsor should be familial. Got it. It's my mom.

She must meet 125% of the minimum poverty guidelines for the number of members in the household including myself and my fiance. Check, she definitely does that. It says that we both fill out individual forms for the I-134. Check. We can manage that. There is also another form she can sign called the "sponsor's financial responsibility agreement" or something like that. I downloaded it. Check. We are going to talk about transferring a savings account that is mine, but currently under my mother's name, to my name, so that I can claim it as my own bank funds (which it is). That should put me above the minimum assets/income needed for 125% of the poverty line. I hope that this all comes together. I wasn't concerned before but now I'm so nervous, I just want my fiancee to be here and to think of having to wait over a year and a half, is just scary.

And Yay, our case is "In Transit". Confirmed with NVC that it was sent out to our consulate today so its on its way, woohoo!!

No, it stops at telling you that your petition was approved. You can wait to see if you hear anything from the NVC but in all honesty most people don't hear anything from them so it is better to start calling the NVC yourself but give them at least 2 weeks from your noa2 before you start calling otherwise you will drive yourself nuts. You probably won't really get anything from the NVC until about 3weeks or so after the noa2 date. It seems to be averaging between 20-30 days recently from the noa2 date and the date they get a case#assigned at the NVC.

Nope. USCIS app is only for USCIS.

Anything related to NVC or embassy - you have to use this website: https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx(in order to get the case number - you need to wait for letter from NVC or just call the NVC)

As far as I know, in Manila you schedule your interview online. You need your MNL# to schedule but maybe not to check availability. Go to the embassy website and check it out.

Hey guys, we got our RFE letter in the mail today. And just as I was expecting its about Okcupid.com and we need to prove its not an international marriage broker. Good thing I'm prepared so we can send it out right away and hopefully get NOA2 quickly. At the same time it makes me very sad because I've been seeing people here who met on Okcupid getting approved and I hate that this entire process is so random and depending on the adjudicator reviewing your case. We got a idiot to look at ours.
