I'm the beneficiary and I stayed in USA for about 4 years from 2008 to 2012. Will I need PCC from USA as well for the consulate interview? Many thanks in advance!

Ask over in the Canadian sub-forum or visit the US Embassy Montreal and see if you can find the answer. It's the best advice I can give you.

I'm a little confused about the NVC part of the process. I am reading through the instruction guides and it says I will need to:

-Call them to get my case # when my case is approved and forwarded by CSC

- Ask them for the received and departure date of my case

- Pay a visa fee?

Anything else?

Please help me understand. I have done a lot of research but that step in the process is still a little confusing.

NVC part is all about waiting for them to get your case, call them to get your case number. Afterwards everything pass to your Embassy.

So I would highly suggest you to go check your embassy website, where there are the documents that you will need to get for the interview.

It depends on the country you live in, the documents required at the interview change.

:)

Here are the simple steps. You send your K1 visa application to USCIS where you receive the NOA1 and NOA2. Then your file goes over to NVC for review and a visa case number is assigned about 2 weeks. After approval your case is sent to the US Embassy in Nassau, Bahamas (your timeline says that is where you will be processing). Once it arrives there then you are now dealing with USENB. That's when you will begin to follow the steps that the Embassy requires. See those steps here: http://nassau.usembassy.gov/immigrant_visas.html

Good luck.

Ok, so here is my first rant... and there is a good possibility that im getting way ahead of myself but they are things I feel the need to get off my chest.

Number one: seeing all of you guys getting sent to Cali for processing gets my hopes up... i really really hope that that happens to me as well... if there is anyone who wasnt sent to Cali can you please post that so we can see?

Number Two: With regards to filing package 3 ive seen a few different things and would like to get clarification. The package from my consulate (Montreal) says you must send in an email with the signed checklist, passport and the D form receipt.... everywhere else i see people mailing the full package with copies of EVERYTHING. What should really be happening here? I've tried to find answers on the forums but I am either blind or there isnt anything specifically posted.

We are not using a lawyer either and it's just as stressful as everyone says. This site is amazing for de-stressing and I'm hoping that most people here are posting legitimate facts about their processes.... I am currently documenting every penny spent on this process and will be posting at a later date for anyone following to see exact costs. That was one thing that I havent seen much of is people showing the cost of their process. If you can record what you pay and for what u paid!

I shall continue with more after I see where our application gets sent. Thanks for reading! <3 :goofy::goofy::goofy:
