I can feel you! :( sorry you also got RFE. Try to be patient now until you get the letter. I know it's hard and nerve wrecking. I almost went crazy not knowing what it was what they wanted.

So I started to prepare for a few possible RFEs to keep myself busy. Lol

If you think it could also be for meeting online, write okcupid already. It will take them a few days to answer as well and if that is not the RFE then it doesn't hurt.

But We are currently waiting for the website's statement and it's annoying, because we can't/won't send our respons without their email. It's holding us back.

I'm sure it will be something simple! :) stay positive.

Thank you for the kind words. How long did it took you guys to get the RFE letter? I already mailed Okcupid last week to be prepared for an RFE but they havent replied yet. So I think that if we will get RFE'd for that I will just do without their email and put website terms & conditions and a written letter stating its a free website as supporting evidence.

I do have a bit of good news, my fiancé finally found the NOA1 letter. Her dad put it somewhere, so at least I don't have to worry about the RFE not getting delivered. I'm glad she's home safe after working out of state for 3 months :)

Hello there! Did you guys create an account and are logged in? You need to have an account for you to see when your case was last touched, as opposed to just entering the receipt # on the status tracker page.

Sign up here: https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/disclaimer.do

Add your receipt number, and viola! You should see "last updated" date in the table below. You can also setup email and mobile alerts, so you will be alerted of any changes. I am the beneficiary, so I setup my email address and my fiance's mobile number. We got both alerts at the same time for our NOA-2.

Chin up, girls. Remember I waited almost 2 months. This week is going to be awesome, MORE APPROVALS TO COME!!

I've just signed up. under case history, it's blank. So I am assuming it hasn't even been touched. I wish I could swear on here!!!!!!!!! But at least we can stick together!

I am the beneficiary originally from UK !!

We got RFE'd.... I dont know what it could be. I almost cried I was so happy to get a USCIS update on my phone and it said RFE... :(

DONT PANIC - from what I've seen, a lot of people who get RFE's get NOA2's pretty quickly afterwards. you might even get your NOA2 before me even with RFE!! and to look at it positively, at least they are working on it.

My friend, who has a case WAY more complicated than mine, submitted all the information recommended (as in she did not wait for the NOA2) along with her I-129 form last week of July. They are scheduled for a consulate interview in second week November (but were cleared for interview as soon as mid October. She sent hers to Texas and got rerouted to California like myself and many others. I think her preemptive decision to submit finances, taxes, and endless amounts of supplemental information to substantiate every aspect of her letter really helped. If I could go back to September 21st, I would have submitted everything in one lump sum, nicely organized and easy to follow (ie I-129 and then ALL supplementals, labeled). I do not think it was just luck that helped her. When I tell you her case was complicated...I mean it was complicated!! She met her fiance this summer and got engaged. It's perfectly normal per her culture but you can imagine how that would be harder to prove vs someone with 1-2 years and more of relationship proof. Perhaps engagement photos helped but still. Or perhaps I am making assumptions. I am only sharing this info to instill hope that our cases can move fast and also in case someone who has not started their case yet reads this! I do not think you get penalized for submitting extra as long as the required info is completed, visible first and the rest is orderly.

But I guess we all have to wait and see. I am hopeful that we won't have to wait 5 months!

Let's Go Septemberets!

Petition don't work like that... it is case by case bases. Like I said before, every case is unique.

Cases are divided among case workers and they choose to work on whatever petition they want.

I was preparing myself for a 5 months wait and it happens so quick.

Just be steadfast, approval rain would shower you soon.

Proof of American citizenship. They didn't like the birth certificate we sent in. Easy fix!

Wow, what wonderful news for so many people! :joy: .

I have noticed that many people who filled before 9/23 ish, or certainly before 3rd week September are having shorted turnover times and less RFE's. But that could be selective screening right? Since I am in the 9/25 ish pool for official NOA2 receipt.

Whatever the case, I am happy for others and hopeful for the rest of us!

Sept 9 2016: AOS mailed (485, 131, 765)

Sept 19th : Received at lockbox [Day 0]

Sept 27th : Text message notification from USCIS & Fingerprint Fee received [Day 8]

October 3rd : NOA1 hardcopy for all 3 forms [Day 14]

October 6th : Biometrics letter received [Day 17]

October 20th: Biometrics appointment completed [Day 31]

November 30th: Forms 131 and 765 approved [Day 72]

December 3rd: EAD/AP card received in mail [Day 75]
