My friend, who has a case WAY more complicated than mine, submitted all the information recommended (as in she did not wait for the NOA2) along with her I-129 form last week of July. They are scheduled for a consulate interview in second week November (but were cleared for interview as soon as mid October. She sent hers to Texas and got rerouted to California like myself and many others. I think her preemptive decision to submit finances, taxes, and endless amounts of supplemental information to substantiate every aspect of her letter really helped. If I could go back to September 21st, I would have submitted everything in one lump sum, nicely organized and easy to follow (ie I-129 and then ALL supplementals, labeled). I do not think it was just luck that helped her. When I tell you her case was complicated...I mean it was complicated!! She met her fiance this summer and got engaged. It's perfectly normal per her culture but you can imagine how that would be harder to prove vs someone with 1-2 years and more of relationship proof. Perhaps engagement photos helped but still. Or perhaps I am making assumptions. I am only sharing this info to instill hope that our cases can move fast and also in case someone who has not started their case yet reads this! I do not think you get penalized for submitting extra as long as the required info is completed, visible first and the rest is orderly.

But I guess we all have to wait and see. I am hopeful that we won't have to wait 5 months!

We met through Facebook in May. I went and met her in person in August for 3 weeks. All I sent was the required documents and plenty of proof that we had met in person. No documentation of ongoing relationship as the guidelines I followed from VJ did not say it was needed. It was 28 days from NOA1 to NOA2. No RFE.

Keep the faith and be patient. Your approval will come.

Our petition is on its way to Manila!!! We have now completed the NVC stage! Going to be a little while until we can get her in for her interview, probably late January. NVC said that she can request the extension on our petition while she is at the interview to be sure it is valid for her entry (even though it's not supposed to matter.)

May I ask why so long to get the interview? Is that your choice?

Finally heard some good news! Been waiting for this since Monday Seeing your timeline, we processed our first but it doesn't matter. Case to case basis like they said and yeah CSC processing time is 5mos. I'm happy you finally got your approval. Congrats

Ummm not really speeding up I think.. It would also depend on the case officer assigned on the case. A lot of factors really are considered here and we just couldn't figure it out how they do it. The best way is to just be patient and let them do their job, make most of the time while waiting and more facetime

You sure deserve to have the approval early! Happiness of the rest of the filers here also makes me happy.. At least we hear some good stuff right? Aye we're lucky enough we got processed in CSC than be thrown to TSC which was still processing the March 7 as of the moment. Blessing still

I agree. We are all super lucky our cases got sent to CSC. Any amount of time from CSC is better than getting stuck at TSC. However I'm starting to think that some CSC USCIS person reviewing cases is just RFE happy and some get delayed because of them. Not cool...

We got RFE'd.... I dont know what it could be. I almost cried I was so happy to get a USCIS update on my phone and it said RFE...

I can feel you! sorry you also got RFE. Try to be patient now until you get the letter. I know it's hard and nerve wrecking. I almost went crazy not knowing what it was what they wanted.

So I started to prepare for a few possible RFEs to keep myself busy. Lol

If you think it could also be for meeting online, write okcupid already. It will take them a few days to answer as well and if that is not the RFE then it doesn't hurt.

But We are currently waiting for the website's statement and it's annoying, because we can't/won't send our respons without their email. It's holding us back.

I'm playing a lot of numbers lately on the case tracker app.. Majority of the cases on CSC are on received status. I was even more surprised to see a lot of K1 filers still waiting for their NOA2 who filed earlier than me.. So I realized my impatience won't do me any help and will just continue to stress me instead of focusing more on things that matter now. So what I do to kill time is do a lot of reading on what to do next and prepare the necessary documents if ever NOA2 arrives..

Two case numbers directly before me have been touched: one received an RFE and another was approved. I hope mine will be updated sometime soon!

I checked other reference numbers in the uscis app and they haven't approved those before me yet.

Just a matter of privacy I guess. This is a public page and anyone can see what we post so it's probably better to just update your timeline.

Case number really won't help. One filer here called the USCIS and asked why others got their approval early while others were still stuck. USCIS said it's case to case basis and would depend on the case officer assigned to you.

We still waiting for our NOA2, it's so frustrating. We had our e-notification on September 21st for NOA1 and received the hard copy on October 5th... ?
