Luckily my fiancé had the documentation they wanted and he was able to send what they needed the next day! Now we're back to the waiting game. I've been checking our USCIS case status online and it still comes up as "your case has been received" nothing about the RFE or anything. It's extremely frustrating to rely on paper copies that *should* come by snail mail. Worse comes to worst I'll call them and see what happening if my case doesn't update soon! Get your fiancé to check his mail!

Awww... Cheer up! An RFE is just a little bit delay, but not a denial. Plus the document needed can easily be acquired and provided, so I think you will be on the next phase before you know it. At least they're working on your case now, right? Ours are still untouched. So you're blessed!

So has your status on the website already been changed to "RFE Mailed"? I was bothered when you said you received the hard copy of the RFE, but when you checked the status online, nothing has changed. It got me wondering if we are the same way, so I can tell my fiance to check his mail. Sometimes they don't get delivered. He had to get the NOA1 hard copy from his post office.

I noticed you have your NOA2 but have you gotten your MNL# from NVC and started the scheduling process for the Philippine Embassy? I can offer you a guide that walks you through step by step the processing through the Embassy in Manila. There are a lot of "gotchas" involved and I detail those so you can avoid RFE's and the dreaded waiting. Use the link below in my signature at the twisting arrow.

I have not gotten our case number. From what i keep reading, takes several weeks before they get it assigned a case number. The noa2 says they will mail a notice after they forward the petition. I planned to wait until nov 1st. If i don't see anything by then then I will call and inquire. I haven't looked through all the details of the nvc portion yet.

She knows about the winters. I promised we would be sure she has plenty of warm clothes and we will run the heat more for her sake if necessary to help her survive the first winter. Once she gets through the first one, it won't be as bad after that. Her body just needs to acclimate. Her cousin lives in NY and says that my fiancée will be just fine as she also underwent the same adjustment when she was a kid.

Well, just for kicks I did give the NVC a call just now. A very nice woman answered the phone. Requested our Receipt Number. After looking it up, she asked me what our invoice date was and informed me that it would likely be a few weeks before the case number would be available based on their average processing time frame. She said I am always welcome to call back and check whenever I like but will likely not get a number until a few weeks has passed. I'm fine with that. I will stick to my plan of waiting until November 1st to contact them if I haven't received any notification. We are hoping to get her in for a medical exam and interview in the first week of December before she returns back to working full-time.

Not any concerns on my end about the rest of this process. Just taking it as it comes and glad I'm not feeling pressured under a time crunch. Makes things easier to handle. Only thing I've got floating in the back of my mind is getting the NOA2 extended without a problem so that we have a valid NOA2 at her entry in the U.S. We aren't supposed to need one but I don't want to take any chances with it. I would sooner she have it and not need it, then be put back on a plane to the Philippines. After all this time apart, I just want her to come and stay for good.

We have the same Approval date. I called NVC this am to see if they received our case and the lady was very nice. Said it hadn't been received yet and I just immediately thanked her and said have a great day. I will just continue to call weekly on Fridays till we hear one way or another. I can not imagine how much paperwork this office deals with. Blessings.

I'll start to call next week too, but I believe for sure by the end of this month. I can't wait to be with him. I miss him too much.

Still waiting too, the estimate of my VJ timeline is due the following week but I am hoping to get an approval earlier, As i saw on the tracker one case number above me was approve. I pray we will get our approval too. ??????
