Just in!!!

Fiance just forwarded me the USCIS Acceptance Confirmation email. (NOA1 e-notification). Yay, I'm so happy that we heard something already. :) But we won't know the actual notice date until we receive the hard copy in the mail, right? Can we track our status though using the receipt number (WACxxxxxxxxxx)? Or they are still going to assign us a case number?

We are routed to California too. So I assume they no longer follow the service center by state now (or at least for now)? Coz I really thought we are going to Vermont. Oh well, I guess what's important is everything goes smoothly -- which I pray to happen to all of us here. :)

NOA1 is a ''received' notice

NOA2 is an "acceptance" notice

So your case was received and yes you can use the WACxxxxxxxxxx to check the status of your case on https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do

Update your timeline so that you can get an estimated NOA2 date (estimated 3-4wk from what i am seeing)

Is any one applying also a k-1 visa from Amsterdam? I have a question that i do need a help, i went to an interview in may and my interview was postponed, then i were been aske for aditional dochuments and after i have them i dont need to come to the Consulate but mail my original pasport with the requested dochuments and when they receive it they will work on it and get back to me, finally i have all as requested and mailed to them i called and they confirmed my dochuments have been received so they will get back to me as soon as possible, but now is more than 2weeks and not hearing nothing from them,

Please anybody with same experience or any advice can be helpfull

Any idea why taking so long

I thought it takes 3 to 5 working days for the process

Hello VJ Friends!

We sent our petition to the Texas lockbox on Tuesday September 8th so we're hoping to get our NOA1 early next week! It looks like all Sept fillers are being sent to CSC and it looks like California is processing them quickly so let's hope that the trend continues!

Is any one applying also a k-1 visa from Amsterdam? Did anyone do their I-129F application themselves?

We couldn't afford a lawyer so I did tons of research and put the packet together myself. But, now I am even more nervous that I missed something. Anyone else having these emotions?

We used a lawyer only for final check and if we filled the forms correctly.

We did it only because our friend is an immigration lawyer, so we just got lucky. Free service ahah :)

Anyways, lawyer is not needed in my opinion if you follow the guide in this forum, that is pretty much awesome!

Yes, we did ours our self as well using the guides on here which have been extremely helpful. I understand the nervousness of thinking you may have missed something, we had a friend look over the paperwork to make sure everything was there. A lawyer really isn't needed considering all they really do is verify you have everything that the guides here tell you to get and sign/date and if you use a lawyer, you are still doing all the work considering you are the ones that have to provide and gather all the documentation still. So unless you have a complicated issue that you know will raise red flags, there is no need for a lawyer and the extra cost.
