Wow 10 days after NOA1 that's really fast!!! When did you file for K1? Give us your timeline!!

Hi MarieDino!

We filed 10/18 last year, NOA1 was 10/27 and NOA2 was 11/06. Within 11 months of submitting our K1 petition, I got approved, moved here in US, got married and then got my green card yesterday. I will be setting up a blog soon to show how we prepared all our docs. For the meantime, my timeline can be seen on my profile :)

Doesn't the app check for you and that is the wonder of the app that there is no need on your part to "check every minute"?

Hehe, you are absolutely right Greenbaum, that is exactly what the app is for but sadly some of us (myself included) have these control issues and even though logically we know that its suppose to check and notify us if there is a change, our control freak nature demands that we check the site multiple times even though we know nothing has changed. LOL it's a bit insane I know and I find that I have to stop myself from doing exactly that otherwise I will drive myself nuts. But its hard to let go of what little we really do have control of during this process. :no:

Oh and got our NOA1 Hard Copy in the mail today so Woohoo!!

Each case is different, you can check the current processing times for the I-129F petition, see the “Check Processing Times” page. USCIS process fiancé(e) petitions in the order they receive them. Once they complete their processing, your approved petition is then forwarded to the National Visa Center (NVC). The NVC will then send the petition to the U.S. Embassy or consulate, which will need time to process your fiancé(e) for a visa.

Also, get registered at myUCIS webpage and you can track there also. Link is below in my signature.

From what I've gathered, your fiancé in SK can come to visit and shouldn't have any issues as long as the K1 hasn't been issued yet. I would just ensure that your fiancé has brought sufficient evidence that s/he is intending to go back to South Korea after the visit (bring employment letters/apartment rental contracts/ that type of thing).

As promised ill keep updating the status of cases RECEIVED on August 31st using the case tracker app. There is a total of 180 K1 applicants with that RECEIVED date (which as some have pointed out gives a NOA1 of about Sep 2nd)

There was major activity today bringing to total approvals to 23/180 but sadly there was alot of RFEs 16 to be exact !

The good news is the processing is moving right along and those with later received dates are speeding closer to a NOA2. hope this helps

Hello, I am applying for the K-3 on behalf of my fiance from South Korea. My US residence is in California. I figured I would post my status and questions during this process as I've gotten a lot of good tips and help from others on this forum.

My I-129F was just received and I was notified by SMS and email yesterday. It will be routed to the California Service Center. I guess my next step is the NOA1 and NOA2. Good luck to all!

Could I ask if my fiance can visit me during this process?

She can visit like any normal SK would. They have a 90 day visitor's visa and then must return. Don't let her overstay or you'll will kiss your K-1 goodbye. If she follows the rules should be no problem with her visiting.

Happy to report that we were approved this afternoon. Our NOA1 was 9/2. Best of luck to everyone for a speedy NOA2!!
