I haven't been on here in a while but just wanted to make a quick update that I had my interview this morning and got approved :-) I'm so happy that the hardest step is over and in just a few weeks I will be able to marry the love of my life. The waiting period for AOS will be much easier since we'll be together. I'm really grateful for all the information I've gathered on this forum - it's a God send :-)

Checked the case tracker app a little while ago for the millionth time today, and there it was in bright green, APPROVED!!!! Then looked and saw that the email had arrived about a half hour ago too. P

I believe sometimes it goes back and forth. So it should go back to AP and then to Issued. Getting closer! Congratulations!!!

Can someone please explain to me what it means when ur status update from Administrative processing to Ready?

Received my Visa package from the post office today! Can't wait to get along to the POE... Only a couple weeks left. :D

October 2007 - Met in school

December 14/2007 - Started dating

~ 2 to 4 visits a year between Canada & USA ~

Sept 10/2015 - Engaged! (FINALLY!) :wub:

K1 Fiancee Visa Journey!

Sept 15/2015 - Sent I-129F package to USCIS Lewisville, TX Lockbox via FedEx from California

Sept 17/2015 - FedEx confirmed delivery at Lockbox/ USCIS confirms receipt via website

Sept 22/2015 - NOA1: USCIS Email stating receipt of I-129F package

Oct 22/2015 - NOA2: Confirmation via Case Tracker APP

Oct 26/2015 - NOA2 Hardcopy in the mail!

Nov 25/2015 - Package 3 in the mail

Nov 27/2015 - Package 3 emailed to Vancouver Consulate

Lost the dates... but Package 4 came and went.

No issues!

Feb 26/2016 - Medical @ Dr. Cheema's office in Vancouver

Mar 1/2016 - K1 Interview @ Vancouver Consular Generals Office - Approved!

Mar 28/2016 - POE!

May 28/2016 - Wedding!

Question: does everyone usually go into AP after the interview? Like is just a regular step after being approved? I checked CEAC and we are now in AP and I know that the time when it stays there can vary. I'm just wondering if some people go straight to "issued" after the interview.

In our case, the status updated on the day of the interview (still AP, just the date changed) and then 1 day later it changed to "issued"

Congrats! :) Now you gotta wait like 8 days for the passport (actually, not sure how embassy in Japan handles this... )
