Do you mean August 31st date of received? Because I am not understanding how you can see through the app the NoA1 date, I know you can see the date of receive of the petition though. Probably I am wrong, but I am also confused by different sentences in here hehehe

yes date received. but as far as I'm concerned they are only 1-2days apart from NOA1 so I'm treating it the same

What is your date received ?

Seriously??? I thought the NOA2 validity is only supposed to be for visa application.. Once you already have the visa, you can enter the USA up to the visa validity date. And then once you're in the states already, you have 90 days to get married and *ideally* adjust your status. Oh well...

Anyway, congrats on NOA 1 :) now more anxiety-inducing waiting begins!

The initial approvals i put them into a category of "expedited requests" and don't count them... toward the normal processing queue.

In the 'normal' queue, i have seen at least 5 cases (i just looked at few) go from 'received' to approved status last evening. All of those cases had receive date of "Aug 28".

Do you mean August 31st date of received? Because I am not understanding how you can see through the app the NoA1 date, I know you can see the date of receive of the petition though. Probably I am wrong, but I am also confused by different sentences in here hehehe

NOA1 is usually 2-3 days behind the actual receive date. So

Aug 28 receive date == Sept 1 NOA1 date (at least that's is what i have)

Hi all.

I just came across this thread today, I can't believe I hadn't seen it sooner.

We would be September filers also. I sent it in on 9/16 via USPS Priority, and it showed delivered to P.O. box on the 18th. We haven't received any notification as of yet, hopefully soon.

One question I would have is what method have you used for delivery? I'm beginning to wonder if I should have Express mailed it to the Lewisville address instead. I can just envision the P.O. box mail being something they would retrieve when time is available... "Bob, if you have time this week go get the mail from the P.O. box"... *sigh*

The wait continues.

Ours arrived on the 17th and got our NOA1 yesterday. Hopefully you'll get yours today or tomorrow. I used USPS priority too. No issues there.

Yes, generally just having the valid visa is all you need but there are a few POE locations that ask that your NOA2 is still valid! It's something to be aware of when you go to move.

Also, how does everyone have their timeline on their posts? I cant seem to figure out how to do that lol.

How long is the NOA2 valid for? We were planning to wait out nearly the whole 6 month period before entry simply because I am school, unless she got her visa late enough that it was less than 6 months before spring semester is over. Will that be a problem for us?
